you've gotta have friends who are older than you, not because you're a dumb kid, but because you'll be terrified of growing up otherwise

being the oldest person you allow yourself to know will eat holes in your brain and you'll start saying weird stuff

Get a hobby that is intergenerational.  The friendships with people much older and much younger than you will mean that wisdom and ideas are shared among many and not isolated among the few.  

People who don't hyperfixate will never know the slightly horrible, completely impossible-to-replicate feeling of being so intensely invested in something it possesses you, takes over your waking thoughts and rides some weird line between being excited, anxious, and stressed as hell while still being entirely some other beast.

asexual person: i really hate how sexualized the world is and feel like i cant escape from it. i wish i didnt have to deal with this and i’m sharing it on a blog that has proven a safe space for vents.

anyway. asexuals deserve a space to vent and talk about what its like to be ace in a society that shoves sex and sexualized things down your throat all the time. asexuals deserve to want to avoid sexual content. asexuals deserve a right to be frustrated. no one was saying anything about banning sex from everything it was just some guy venting calm down
