While some stuck with the belief of heaven, Min Yoongi stuck with the belief of hell. Death happened, every minute, every second, and it was absolutely wicked and so iniquitous. He believed that once he took his last breath, he’d look at death straight in the eye, unafraid to face the hell he knew awaited.
He didn’t believe in a heaven, but he envied knowing that if a heaven really did exist, his baby girl would be there, happy and beaming where all the innocent souls inhabited.
It was all so unexpected. The gunshots, the chaos.
His pale hands, veiny and warm caressed your swollen belly with such delicacy, both your bodies swaying side to side, dancing to a nonexistent melody. “Do you like it? ” He questioned, looking down at you. You could only nod as your throat seemed to close shut, the tears coming down your cheeks. “Ugh! Why am I crying!” You chuckled at your ridiculousness. The bracelet was cold to the touch, gold and engraved with your unborn daughter’s name.
The thought of welcoming her into the world, of finally holding her in your arms, her name at her wrist confirming that she was real, warmed your heart.

"this is all your fucking fault" your eyes widen at his words. This is the first time you heard him curse. The man you knew— or you thought you knew— this gentleman that would always say polite words full of endearment, who would do everything for you, the man that seemed like an angel, suddenly turned into this crazed man in front of you.
He walked towards you until your back hits the wall, inching closer until your bodies leaves no space in between.
"You with those eyes..." he pinned your body even more, his face near your neck feeling his hot breath fanning your skin.
"And your smile..." you can feel his mouth ghosting your neck. You closed your eyes preparing yourself of his kiss but you suddenly felt something wet, slippery, and soft make its way from the base of your neck up to the lobe of your ear, sending shivers to your body.
"It's all your fault. You charmed me."
Seokmin’s fingers run along the microphone, a smile crossing his lips that makes your stomach tighten even before he looks in your direction. A rose in his left hand, his signature prop every performance. Seokmin’s voice feels like silk against your skin as it reaches your ears.
He grins into his song, his voice melting every person’s heart as he makes eye contact with a choice few before settling on you. You press your lips together, crossing your legs from one direction to the other and drawing his eyes down to them before he looks away. He knew better than to linger too long with all the eyes on him, especially Lee Jihoon’s, his boss and your brother.
Your teeth catch your lip as he sings, making the women next to you swoon as if they get to go home with him at the end of the night. He had that effect on people. He could look at them, sing or talk to them, and make them feel like they were the only person in the entire world. When in reality you were the only person he wanted in his world and in his bed every night.
One time this man approached me in a bar talking in Spanish. So I assumed he was Spanish and we started speaking, we had a whole ass conversation and at some point he was like. So what part of Spain are you from? And I said well I’m Italian actually. What part of Spain are you from? And he was like. I’m Greek.
One time I was in Argentina and I was so tired of trying to speak Spanish because I’m not very good at it lmao so I broke into exasperated English and the retail seller girl quickly understood me and engaged me in conversation. We talked for a while, she introduced me to a makeup brand, and then I decided to buy it. While she was packaging the purchase, she asked me if I were from the US or perhaps the UK and I just said “oh no I’m Brazilian hahah” and she looked me straight in the eyes and said, in clear Portuguese, “I’m Brazilian too”
When my dad went to China on a work trip, his Mandarin speaking wasn’t great but his listening was fine (his first language is Cantonese) and he encountered a German guy who had moved to China to work. My dad knew how to speak German because he studied it in university (but wasn’t great when it came to listening to new vocab he hadn’t studied before), and the German guy knew Mandarin because he lived and worked in China, so they had a conversation where my dad spoke to the German guy in German and the guy responded in Mandarin. I’m sure it confused a lot of their coworkers who just saw the Asian guy speaking German and the white guy speaking Mandarin.
Some years ago, I worked for a manufacturing company that had a service depot in China. One of the engineers from the main office here in the US spent most of his time at the depot. The problem was that he didn’t speak *any* of the various Chinese languages, and no one at the depot spoke any English. They all, however, spoke Spanish.
