The Immortal Desires ending was… not and ending. What a shitty way to end a stand-alone. ID definitely feels like it was always intended to be a series, but due to PB’s supposed “staffing issues,” they decided to make it a stand-alone. The way we have no idea when and why Gabe and Cas were turned? That seems like a pretty significant thing to leave out especially considering the way Cas continually hinted that they were turned because they hated being so weak as a human. Weak from what? Were they bullied? Were they ill? The writers really made it seem like there was a whole backstory there but nope. Nada. And who was turned first? Cas or Gabe? Like I really want to know! For a book about vampires, the writers sure left out a lot of important information about the vampires.
