|29-Asexual/Panromantic and taken x2-She/They/He-Artist| Hey there! You can call me Zodori, Zodi, or CZ if you'd like! This is just the place I dump art and babble a lot. (Please do not repost my art anywhere.) This blog may contain strong language, memes, furry stuff, and LOTS of fandom content. (Will tag accordingly. Mute tags at your own discretion.)

Howdy! I'm Zodori. Please read this before you follow.

You can call me Corrie, Zodori, or CZ! Any pronouns are fine but I mostly go by She/they! I'm a 28 year old furry artist but I do draw humanoids from time to time as well, as well as various fandom-related content. This tumblr is SFW. Strong language warning and some sensitive themes may be discussed here though, tagged ofc! You can find me elsewhere under the usernames "CorrieZodori" though keep in mind, not all of my galleries are sfw. Follow elsewhere at your own discretion. I am most frequent on here, Toyhouse, and Deviantart (unfortunately). I post a LOT about hyperfixations and current interests here, so be prepared for a lot of that.

So I just saw a post by a random personal blog that said “don’t follow me if we never even had a conversation before” and?????? Not to be rude but literally what the fuck??????????

I’ve had people (non-pornbots) try to strike conversation out of nowhere in my DMs recently, and now I’m wondering if they were doing that because they wanted to follow me and thought they needed to interact first. I feel compelled to say, just in case, that it’s totally okay to follow this blog (or my side blog, for that matter) even if we’ve never talked before.

Also, I’m legit confused. Is this how follow culture works right now? It was worded like it’s common sense but is that really a thing?

Saw a sharp increase in my follower count after posting this. The legitimacy of it is driving me nuts so I also feel the need to say that you can follow anyone on here regardless of whether you’ve interacted with them or not. People like the above mentioned blog are exceptions. Perhaps they themselves think they aren’t and therefore will act like they aren’t, but they are, trust me.

Just follow anyone you wanna follow. The worst thing that can happen is maybe getting soft-blocked by the other person, but if they do soft-block you, then they were never that worth following in the first place.

wow. really hope this isn't actually a norm taking hold with new users! this isn't facebook, you don't need to know people before following them

young artist posting your work online, heed my warning. im holding your face so gently in my hands, you have to stop caring about numbers right now and start caring about making the weirdest and most self-indulgent art you possibly can

STOP listening to the demon of capitalism and START listening to the angel of hedonism, i love you i believe in you keep making what you love forever ok?

Coming out of the tags if thats ok to add my 2 cents as well OP is always 1000% right you HAVE to stop caring about making your art likeable for others and care more about YOU liking it and having fun. Hell, even if you DONT like it, prioritize having fun. You will learn SO much just from letting yourself go apeshit. Even if it's your only source of income. You have to trust yourself. People come to YOU because they like YOUR art. Even if your style is crazy, or messy, or you change it drastically overnight cuz thats just what feels "right". People will come and go, and honestly all that matters is that you draw *at all*. It's easy to feel like numbers do matter, because you want your art to be noticed. You want your efforts to be noticed, to have some sort of payoff. And if you're like me, you want your art to be "likeable" to others so you can pay your bills and eat. I understand entirely. But we've tricked ourselves into thinking that this is what's important, but it isn't. It's a one way ticket to misery and hating your art. Even hating the process of your art, which makes you want to draw even less. Draw messy. Draw wild. Turn your brain off. Ignore the numbers. Draw for YOU and draw for FUN. I cannot stress this enough. Kill the expectations in your head and harness your whimsy again.

I feel horrible for fans who first experienced Deltarune any other way. Like there was a cryprtic tweet the night before, the twitter profile was all backed out. And then he sent out a link to a “Survey” and you downloaded a file from a random website called SURVEYPROGRAM and then opened it up and it asked you to make a character. And then the character got thrown away. And then it was Deltarune. And like. It was a fucking ride none of you will get to experience this

I just wanna say, I love your art so much! It's so unique, you're one of my favourites! I'm sorry you're feeling down about your art, I've felt that too at times but what you make is genuinely so impressive to me
