Whiplash ✨This piece has been with me through so many life changes, phases and emotions. It started out as one of my Muses in 2012..but some pieces have a life of their own and no matter how hard you try to control them, they have their own course. Over the years she has been almost entirely covered up by layers of frustration and "fuck it I'm done with you"s and rejected, shoved off to some dark corner of my studio.. But slowly, bit by bit I've revived her, sorted through the muck of frustrations, annoying inner dialogues, self doubts and evolved her in to something she never would have been otherwise. Now I have a soft spot for her, because of the journeys her and I have been on together. She's strange but I love her. 💙When you see my work, you see the final version, but I see all the layers she has been, could have been, and never was. I see the journeys of love and acceptance and fuck its. The layers and worlds I'll never be able to get back, but that I know are still there, buried but not forgotten ❤️
