Ever since I learned Leslie Jamison is Kay Redfield Jamison’s niece, I imagine someone meeting Leslie Jamison at a fancy party and going “Ah, Jamison…of the bipolar Jamisons?”
it’s crazy how there will never be anyone in theater who ever comes close to brushing the undisputed greatness of stephen sondheim. he will always be peerless.

funniest thing about rent is how much all of roger's friends clearly didn't care for april
I'm talking about the final version but it's especially potent in the early workshop where Mark describes her to Angel as, "Suicidal girl who OD'd. He said he loved her. What he loves is to bleed."
In the Jonathan Larson demos of La Vie Boheme, the "Roger will attempt to write..." section is "Roger will relate in song the short but bittersweet story of his first love, the unforgettable but sadly deceased April." Roger plays a riff and then presumably Collins, but might be Mark (all the voices are Larson's with no differentiation) chuckes and goes, "Not now, Roger." They hated her ass!
i thought it was just mark being gay but the lore says she got him hooked on heroin so that’ll explain it…plus the gay thing
“You wouldn’t last an hour in the asylum where they raised me.”
mr. and mrs. smith but it’s about two writers in an acrimonious marriage trying to destroy each other in the new york times’ modern love column
Say what you will about Lionel Shriver, she wrote a book about how if she ever had a kid, he’d be a budding mass murderer devoid of the capacity to feel love or happiness and so she never had kids, and I will always respect that.

If a worker who isn't the owner says ANYTHING similar to "I'm not really supposed to do this but-" and then does something that helps you, under no circumstances inform the business, including through reviews. You tell them that the worker was polite, professional, the very model of customer service and why you like to go there. You do not breathe a word of the rulebreaking.
