[11.15.18]

My only class today got cancelled so I’m all free today, but I have a bio exam from 7-9 today. Wish me luck!

For bio I go through all the slides, which my professor puts multiple choice questions on that test our understanding, worksheets, quizzes, and then I finally do the practice exam. I feel pretty prepared but going over some other questions won’t be a bad thing!

I wasn’t very happy with my last bio exam, but I had a lot on my plate all of that week so that explains part of it. I should’ve put in more time to studying last time, but that’s what I did this time so hopefully it’ll go as planned!

[6.28.18] This is my monthly spread of June. June wrapping up soon so here it is. I am very proud of my little flamingo. Though I’m learning Chinese and learning to write in my native tongue, Malayalam, I still want to learn more. Honestly, without some science, I get really bored. I’m trying to find an online course for the rest of the summer, but I haven’t found anything that’s free and credible. If anyone has a place for online courses in mind let me know!

I didn’t post anything about my May life! So just a little throw back to this greenery.

May was a busy, stressful month even though school was ending. The senioritis was hitting hard, and I couldn’t help but think that I was supposed to be doing something. I felt stuck. I was trying to mellow down while my mind was racing for ideas. Either I do these things or slow down and just relax.

I found a way to manage it all, and it felt real good in the end.

Bedtime or Study?

I’ve seen a lot of studyblrs using their beds as study spaces, and it’s fine for just aesthetic. I mean I get it, it makes it cute. However, I would just like to recommend to all of you that you use a desk or other space to actually study.

In using your bed as a study space, you’re training your brain to stay awake in bed so that you can study, which goes against all the years where you trained yourself to sleep when you are in bed. Then, when you actually want to go to sleep, it will be more difficult because your brain is confused. Does it study in bed or does it sleep? If you don’t sleep well, then half the things you studied won’t process into long term memory.

Short Version: Don’t study in bed. It’s bad for your health and studies.

[4/18/18] Post #9

Though I am one for more politically directed or ideological takes to poetry, Lullabies by Lang Leav is really good. “Déjà Vu” is especially good.

I wanted to go out today with some friends, just a break from AP work and studying, but they are AP studying right now. So I decided that I’d just take some time for myself to wake up late, clean, read some poetry, and drink some tea.

April is my birthday month! I tried to incorporate everything that I love into the spreads for this month. I love clouds; when you look at them in the sky they look like paintings because they are so ethereal. It’s breathtakingly beautiful yet so ordinary. I’m very much obsessed with this spread.

I’m a little stressed because I have AP exams as early as May 9th, which is less than a month away. I feel very prepared for the English Lit. exam, but AB Calc. and Bio. are my weaker points. But hey, I can push through!
