Yesterday… oh, yesterday. The government finally lost his head. Yesterday they sent the police to the apartments where I live to remove the students simply because they are young, and thus to avoid that they go to the marches that are being effected. They took 60 people, destroyed gates and windows just ‘cause. Because they can. They took several ladies also because they helped these young people to hide, although they did not have much result. This is getting worse, we do not really know how we will end up.

We weren’t at home last night. We were at my grandmother’s home. Thank god they didn’t get on our apartment because all the lights were off and the neighbors told them that there was no one there. 

VENEZUELA IS FUCKED UP SINCE 1999, AND NO ONE GIVES A FUCK. NO ONE CARES.

You guys, I reblogged this 2 days ago out of desperation. Today I was looking through my old wallet for coins to go to the vending machine because that’s all I can fucking afford. I haven’t touched this thing since July/ August. When I found a disappointing 15 cents in the coin pocket I went to the billfold to see if any coins were in there. That’s when I saw them. 5 crisp bills amounting to $22. I literally screamed and danced around my room out of joy before remembering that I’d reblogged this post.

Financials are getting a little rocky here (new job was a pay cut and was supposed to be an hours increase but ended up being more of a cut/lateral move) and I’m still trying to figure out how to downgrade my spending (seriously how can I cancel some of my cable services and end up paying MORE than before fucking packages fucking Verizon…) so in the meantime I could really go for a cash infusion until I get myself sorted.

Ok this is such a ridiculous coincidence but I JUST reblogged this this morning and between then and now my tax refund hit my account 3 days early. Draw your own conclusions.

Fifteen people died in riots yesterday (July 30, 207) alone. People are literally starving to death, not because they don’t have any money, but because there simply isn’t any food in supermarkets across the country. The shelves are completely bare - no food, no water, no toilet paper, no nothing.

This isn’t a political crisis anymore. It’s a humanitarian crisis. And it pisses me off that people don’t care about it as much as they would if this wasn’t happening in a Latinamerican country. You KNOW this wouldn’t have gotten this far if it was France, or the UK, or Canada. But because the people suffering are Latinos, the global community doesn’t give a shit, and that directly leads to people dying.

do you know of anything those of us living in north america or elsewhere can do to help?  if not that’s totally fine it’s not your responsibility at all, just wondering since you are a lot closer geographically to what’s happening than i am.

Yesterday, one of my friends in Venezuela informed me that the government’s militia is stopping people in their cars to check their phones. If they find material against the government (ranging from conversations to silly jokes like memes) they are TAKING PEOPLE TO JAIL. Thankfully my friend had just forgot her cellphone back home, but she saw how they took away the people in the car in front of her with them. That’s NO DEMOCRACY. THAT’S A DICTATORSHIP, THEY ARE CHECKING THEIR PHONES AND ASKING FOR PASSWORDS. IF YOU REFUSE THEY TAKE YOU AWAY AS WELL.

Please, if you can’t help, signal boost this post and keep the people of Venezuela in their thoughts. Mass media focuses a lot on the Syrian crisis, which is awful and I know from all angles it’s even worse, but people in Venezuela are also dying, fighting and fleeing everywhere.

I also talked to my closest friend in Venezuela, who’s leaving for the States at the end of the month. She has a 1 year old baby and my heart broke when she told me “I might never come back here, to my home. She might never meet her own country”. Please keep them in your thoughts and help if you can in any possible way.

UPDATE AND SOME MORE:

Unfortunately what I feared most happened. Today, a few hours ago, the telephone lines (and therefore the Internet) were sabotaged where I live. They burned rubbers and the cables went to hell. Given this, we will be held with no communication for an indefinite period of time. Also, I may need to tell something. Besides the problems with the communication this past month, my sister was shoot in front of our home. That was the most awful and terrifying thing ever happened to me, to us. I thought I would lose her. Over this, I spend more money than ever. I spend also days without sleep. 

I’m very sorry that I can not complete the commissions that I have pending for this past week, and some are ready and I think I can deliver by the end of next– next week when I manage to leave the house where a friend on the other side to be able to do so. I thank all those who donated and ordered, that is what my family and I have been living, because prices have increased by four times in the few foods that are on the market that were not looted. 

Again, if you can collaborate with us you can do it like that, like a dollar, a dollar is a big help.

Yesterday things got pretty ugly and looting started. Through my house all the premises were devastated and, therefore, there is no where to buy food. I’m collecting money so I can buy to resellers (who may have finished the markets, but what else can I do?) Because we do not have food for the next, and the next, aaaand the next week. A couple of days ago one of my cats got outside and was hit by a car, she’s stable but most likely has a long long way to go… i honestly hate to do this but, with all the meds, tests, samples to send to the lab, special food because she can’t even chew rn and the fact she has to stay at the hospital for days if not weeks, vet bills are piling up incredibly fast, not to mention she’ll probably get surgery later and who knows how much that’ll be… so… i need help and here i am.

i’ll draw virtually anything (if you want something but aren’t sure if i can do it, please feel free to ask) and i don’t mind if all you have to spare is $1, you can pay what you want, i just really want my cat healthy, happy and back home as soon as possible.
