So I guess after some time thinking about it and reading a lot of mean anons and some stuff that seems like callout posts, I'm just...not going to ever come back to this account. If I come back to Tumblr, it'll be on a different account with a different URL. I'm not taking anything from this place with me, since I don't want anyone tracking me down and getting on my case again. I don't want any of that stress in my life ever again.

First, some things to clarify. Yes, I did probably act unintentionally manipulative, and that was pretty shitty. But I want my followers to know that I never meant to hurt or guilt trip you guys. It's been hard reminding myself to not act like that, to not let my BPD do the talking and make me come off as guilt-trippy or manipulative. I was at the end of my rope. I'm not proud of all the stuff I did and said, but I just want you guys to know that it was never my intent to make y'all feel bad for not coming to talk me out of killing myself. I deleted all my vent posts and just want everyone to forget it, and that I'm safe now and nothing bad ended up happening to me.

And to the people that got me to this point; y'all should honestly be ashamed of yourselves. Just because you might also suffer from mental illnesses yourself doesn't mean that you're immune from hurting other people. I was honestly terrified, and mad. Suddenly being the center of discourse was more than I could handle, and eventually I just snapped like I always do under pressure. And I guess trying to tell you to delete my post because the fact that it was being shared made me uncomfortable was just yelling at a wall, because you just don't seem to care if people don't want their stuff being circulated.

So here's my advice in case this happens again; maybe just think for a second about how they might react to suddenly being thrown into an argument against several people out of the blue. And if you don't agree with it but it's tagged with your thing, then you could, I don't know, message them and tell them to not put their thing in your tag? Simple as that. I would have gladly removed the tag if you just told me to not tag my "hate" in the first place. And yes, I know that it was way off limits to @ people in a vent post. I shouldn't have done that, since it just got me in more trouble.

One more thing I want to mention to each and every person who sent anon messages to me encouraging me to kill myself, saying to go get "help" (I already have a therapist and I'm never going to a mental facility again!) or using transphobic slurs; you all suck! I don't care how much you hate someone, that is NEVER okay or excusable! Even if they were sarcastic, nobody is going to read them that way in the middle of a meltdown. In fact, they'll probably just egg them on, and sometimes CAN be the tipping point that causes people to kill themselves for real. Point is, if someone is upset and suicidal, LEAVE THEM THE FUCK ALONE and don't send a message unless you're going to be nice! Actually, just...don't talk to them directly when they're that bad, because chances are you'll make stuff worse and they can't be reasoned with. MAYBE you could send them a positive ask, but apart from that there's not much you can do; hopefully they'll just burn themselves out and reach a stable point. But never, ever send them more hurtful things! That's just really really mean and could actually get you in trouble if you're found to blame. And don’t ever say someone is “just trying to get attention” by venting during a breakdown! For fuck’s sake, is that really necessary? The last thing I wanted during that time was more attention from you jerks.

Okay is that all? Okay. Goodbye, I had a good run. But all I can do now is pick myself up again and hopefully get back on the road to mental recovery, because this really seems like a setback. My only hope now is that it’ll be a looong time before I ever feel this bad/actively suicidal again. I may come back to Tumblr some day after I've had a good break, but I'm never coming back here. Maybe we'll see each other again. Who knows? So...bye.

Why I Refuse To Support PETA

As most of you know, PETA (People for Ethical Treatment of Animals) produces lots of sexist, racist, fatphobic, and even ableist ads. Their ideologies match, unfortunately. They are incredibly unreasonable, too, and they effectively want to remove companion animals from human contact entirely.

Members of PETA have done the following to me.

Attempted to take my service dog’s leash
Threatened to take him away
Sent me death threats
Threatened to euthanize him out of “mercy”
Claimed that I am a “slavedriver” and “active participant in the speciesist h*l*caust” (Ah yes, please tell the romani-german-native girl that she’s basically a Nazi. Good idea.)
Left threatening voicemails on my phone.
Scared me so badly that I had to move house at one point
Grabbed my service dog
Tried to pry my hand off of my service dog’s harness
Threw paint on a faux fur-lined coat I was wearing (the paint got matted in my hair to the point where I had to shave my head)
Speaks openly on their hatred for service dog handlers.

Adding:

Their “Adoption” services are a complete lie. Do not bring an animal to a PETA facility or allow PETA volunteers or employees to take an animal. THEY WILL KILL IT.

Their own documentation shows that they euthanize approximately 90 - 97% of all animals they take in, on a yearly basis. This includes everything from seriously injured/ill animals, to healthy puppies and kittens.

They support Breed Specific Legislation, and call for the mass extermination of all “Pit Bull-type dogs”.

if there is anyone out there who doesn’t know this - this is really important. PETA kills and terrorizes animals. They do so for their own propaganda and in turn, profit. There is nothing ethical about their treatment of animals let alone other human beings.

Their position is, supposedly, that animals are equal to humans and as such use really ableist, racist, and wildly inappropriate metaphors that undermine real human oppression and suffering. Often just for shock value. If they applied their principle, then they are basically saying that mentally ill or struggling and homeless humans should be put to death on mass.

In addition to all of the above, they also promote the idea that dairy products cause autism.

Plus, they harassed Steve Irwin’s family while they were grieving his death. They’re pretty terrible.

The Humane Society of the United States and the SPCA are where it’s at, if you want broad, effective, and ethical animal rights organizations on a national scale, though you can be really effective seeking out your local no-kill shelter or wildlife refuge.
