taco bell takes all those crunchwrap pictures with 40x the amount of ground beef that they will regularly allow, not permitting more than a fucking teaspoon of their meat slurry to put used per dish, and then have the unmitigated gall to tell me its worth ten dollars.
and you know I think that's how fast food truly rips us off by selling the impression that their workers are teens/college students, perpetually bored and lazy at their easy job, because that way people assume when they get a shitty serving of food it's because some kid just couldn't be arsed to do his job versus the fact that they won't buy anything that could even pass for food, rely on the franchisee for training, and continually reduce their portion sizes while raising their prices.
I don't normally comment directly on posts but I made grocery store grab and go sandwiches from 2020-2022. In that time the meat in one of our more expensive sandwiches went from 100grams to 70grams to 30grams.
The cost of the sandwich went up.
The changes are enforced. Management is supposed to randomly select 3 store made items every morning and weigh them/the ingredients and loss prevention comes in ever 3ish months to more thoroughly check weights.
you're allowed to be over 10% of the dictated total item weight but you can be 'reprimanded' if you're consistently over even if its within the 10%
you're so valid for this and it was a valuable addition (me, pacing back and forth: food service is lying to us), but what a fucking story to tell with your username dksjhdflskjhfljk
