Optimus Prime has datacables like Soundwave's. There's four of them and they're smaller and shorter, but otherwise pretty similar in shape. He seldom uses them on Earth because there's almost never a situation where they've become necessary. The fact that their systems are mostly cobbled together from human tech (so archaic!) and whatever they could strip out the inside of an old escape shuttle means that doing so is frequently... frustrating.
