gay story: my brother came out and left the family years and years ago, before i knew i was queer. recently i got to see him again, and we talked for hours and at the end i finally got to tell him i’m trans. god…. he hugged me so tight and pulled me close and said he always wanted a brother, he’s glad it got to be me even if it took longer than he expected. i cant even begin to say what that means to me since i cant be out to the rest of my family… its just this constant reminder that i’m not the only one of my kind <3
to be hugged by your brother and fully accepted and loved 🫂 family isn't just blood, but oh, it's so beautiful when it is.
i'm so glad you have someone in your family you can be fully you with and vice versa.

I was having a meal late night at a bar in a university neighborhood and Fight Club happened to be playing behind the bar. I had never seen it before and my friend had wandered off somewhere but I couldn't help but remark out loud about how gay it was in just the few moments I was catching between bites of food. A person sitting next to me at the bar responded "I know!!" and then we proceeded to watch and comment together. She was going for her masters in media at the university and I didn't see the end of Fight Club because our enthusiastic comments about how gay it was turned into making out outside on the sidewalk in the snow. We were just really pumped up about queer media analysis!
Maybe those guys in the movie couldn't talk about fight club, BUT YOU CAN for the low low price of making out on the sidewalk outside of a bar!

Gay story: I met my wife on tumblr. Bc of the transformers fandom. That's such a silly way to meet someone but it always makes me laugh! I owe the greatest love of my life to fictional car robots we both decided should be gay. Even if it's not our primary interest anymore we both have such a soft spot for the franchise and always will bc it brought us together. Gay cars motivated me to cross an ocean and be with them and it's been the best choice I've ever made in my entire life 💖💖💖

Working at a goth club in the late 90s. We were prepping to open which was always accompanied with music to hype us up. There are the two femme lesbians that bartend, the straight male bartender that is dating the trans femme manager, myself (queer), a couple of queer bar backs and the gay door guy. Freedom '90 by George Micheal come on the sound system and everyone starts to sing and dance. We had made our own little queer family of freaks and weirdos and there was so much joy in that room it almost makes me cry even now to think about it.
