The nerve!

The fact is that Tom Hiddleston produced the show and he knows Loki’s character infinitely better than any of you, so no, it’s not OOC. It’s the character finally being handled as if he’s not just some snarky jerk 24/7.

It’s not the character we see in Ragnarok because the paths taken are so completely different! This Loki has had his entire concept of existence flipped on its head in a span of days, wouldn’t that make you act a bit weird too? And while he is an incredibly cunning, intelligent character, the stakes for phase four needed to be raised extremely high, which means that yeah, at some points they need to make him look helpless in the face of it, to show just how serious the threat is, in the same way the avengers lost in infinity war.

Also, immediately losing any common sense the moment anyone shows you kindness? Completely in character for him. I love my dork and I’m keeping him.
