"A man is not truly educated until he realizes the urgency in which he must rebuild his community." ~Isaac Kwabena Watching hidden colors all day, reading every black power book, listening to Malcolm X speeches is all cool but if you can't apply the knowledge that you're learning to bring about some change to your people then it's all useless. Being a good teacher/coach takes skill. There's much more that goes into it than just quoting documentaries. SanCopha Jewels..... Post by @KingKwajo #SanCophaleague

Now I’m not telling you to tell your son to go out with his hair matted to the side of his head or dirty, and not all black people do this but too often I hear black people tell young black boys that they got to “cut that nappy shit” or “aint no way we’re going to let you grow your hair”. They’re shamed for letting their hair grow and their parents are uncomfortable with it. It just goes along with Black people and our negative views about our own hair.

I work in the education system and I notice that young White, Asian, and Latin boys are allowed to rock a variety of short-mid length hairstyles. They are not just limited to the “low cut”. It seems that when Black boys try to do it they not only get made fun of as it being “nappy, ugly, peazy” but it’s reinforced by their parents.

We as a people think that when our hair grows out of our head it is unpresentable and we pass it down to our children. The only way a Black boy is presentable is when his hair is “clean-cut”. It’s a mindset that needs to change. We have to promote our own images. Post Made by @Solar_innerg

#SanCophaLeague "One of the biggest complaints many people have when it comes to visiting their local beauty-supply store is that they’re typically owned by nonblack people. But there’s one store in Moreno Valley, Calif., that’s changing the face of beauty-supply-store ownership. Kayla Davis, 19, and Keonna Davis, 21, are sisters who are making hair and entrepreneurship history in California. They are now the youngest owners of a beauty-supply store. KD Haircare Supply is located at 24453 Sunnymead Blvd. in Moreno Valley. The store is stocked with everything from natural-hair products to wigs and weaves, so there’s something available for all hair preferences."(TheRoot.Com) Now we can stop giving our money to the Asians... #supportblackbusiness Post made by @Solar_innerG

You seriously made this about white people? Is Boko Haram in Nigeria about white people? Terrorism attack in Burma, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines? About white people? The behead of Japanese citizens, to Mumbai bombing in India, to terrorist stabbing in China. Is that white people? How about the bombing in Turkey? Is that White people? Give the Muslims some credit now.

Nate Parker’s Film, Birth of a Nation, premiered this past Monday. He recently sat down and commented on the racism in this country and why he chose that film title. “This is what I think: that we as artists have to understand that there is pervasive racism in Hollywood and in America, and we can either pick the weed, or we can roll up our sleeves and get our hands dirty and get into the root. Our problem, what we’re dealing with right now, is foundational. The business of Hollywood was built on the propaganda of D.W. Griffith and [1915's] The Birth of a Nation. It was the very first feature film that played in the White House and it was an enormous success, yet it said one thing: Embrace white supremacy, and you will survive. That was his message. And America embraced it. It was critical that I use this title. I wanted to put a spotlight on this film — what it did to America, what it did to our film industry, what it did to people of color with respect for domestic terrorism. There’s blood on that title, so I wanted to repurpose it. From now on, The Birth of a Nation is attached to Nat Turner, one of the bravest revolutionaries this country has ever seen.” Post By @KingKwajo

He received an award for the film but that's not what stood out to me. Before the movie, he was a street vendor trying to make a living and support his family. For a young black boy to come from the streets, land a movie role with no prior acting experience, and kill it the way he did......That's what stood out to me. That's what makes it Black Excellence. When given the opportunity, there is nothing Black boys cannot do. Post By @KingKwajo

"Oscar Damn! Look what they did to Oscar.

Nah, not another trophy rant.

I'm talking Oscar Grant, Sandra Bland, Mike Brown, Tamir Rice, Eric Garner, Freddie Gray.

Why we trust what the news say anyway?

It's blasphemous, don't get distracted by these lottery tickets and statues. It's just fake gold and plastic.

We come from Pharaohs with no masters. What happened? We went from golden tombs to closed caskets.

The Black Plague, they want us to catch it. Just ask Magic, Malcolm, Martin, Muhammad Ali, Bill Cosby.

It's tragic. How the enemy can tear down our community and rewrite the history by highlighting our flaws.

But let he who cast the first stone, who constitutes the new laws. Nah, I ain't never seen Empire but I serve my own throne.

What I look like begging them to let royalty into they home.

As for me and my house, we'll serve the Lord!

We crying for votes but how many of us is on the board.

Better yet, when's the last time you showed up and supported the NAACP Awards? I want what's mine, not yours.

Fuck getting my foot in.

I'm building my own doors. Hollywood mainstream don't validate me, yo.

Like Hov say, Save the accolades, just the doe.You in this show for the business, or this business for the show?

Talent and brilliance? Hands down, man we got that shit. That's why I told Chris, man go 'head and rock that shit. You got the Juice now. Fight the Power.Hell yeah, I'm gonna watch that ceremony where they gonna let a black man be the Master for at least two hours.

So don't waste your voice, don't waste your prayers. Save'em for the thousands killed in Nigeria, Kenya, Philippines, Syria or right here in our urban areas.

Low America.

Nah, now no one cares.

What about my mother raising a son while working three jobs and still equating to less than minimum wage?

What about me being placed on medication before my system could age? What about that prison industrial system turning Brothers into new slaves?Where's the outrage? Where the complaints at?

Overcoming obstacles, definition of Black.

But I guess they don't make no awards 4 that. Real talk.

The Haitian Revolution was one of the largest slave rebellions in history. Although it was not the first slave revolt to take place in what was then known as Saint Dominigue, it had one of the greatest impacts on society. The fighting began in August of 1791, but the desire for independence began long before. Fueled by the cruel and inhumane treatment by white slave owners, Slaves would call for a voodoo ceremony to prepare to TAKE their Freedom. During the ceremony, the slaves would call upon the voodoo warrior Spirit, Ogun, and leaders would be selected to lead the revolt. Now contrary to popular belief, Toussaint l’Overture would not be among the first leaders of the rebellion; he would come later. It would be a man named Boukman. After the ceremony, over 10,000 slaves marched to battle and began killing their white oppressors. In a few short days, thousands of whites had been killed and the morale of the Black army was sky high. This battle would serve as the catalyst for the Haitian revolution and eventually over 500,000 slaves and Free Blacks would join the battle for Independence. For years this Black Army, now lead by Toussaint l’Overture and Jean-Jacques Dessalines, would fight and defend their land. They would defeat the French armies several times along with the English and Spanish. In 1803, Toussaint would eventually be captured and die in prison but the revolution would not end there. Dessalines would lead the blacks and defeat the French once again forcing them to leave the land for good. On January 1, 1804, Jean-Jacques Dessalines declared the nation Independent and renamed it Haiti. Haiti would become the first black republic in the world and one of few nations to win its independence from a European power. Slavery was abolished and a constitution would be provided that granted rights to all Haitian people. Most of all, the Haitian Revolution provided the inspiration for nations, not just black, but all over the world to begin to fight for Freedom. Had it not been for this Black Allegiance, lands such as Dominican Republic would never have gained their Independence. “The Only Thing Necessary for Evil to Prevail Is for Good Men to do Nothing.” Written By @KingKwajo

Personally, I don't give two fucks about cosby. He's said many house nigga things but I can't deny the hypocrisy of this system. I'm awakened enough to know that Race plays a factor in everything that happens in Amerikkka and it's painful to see black people saying race has nothing to do with this situation. First look at the media coverage. When that white cop raped all those black women not a single major news outlet reported it. From the moment of his accusations to his trial to his conviction; they said nothing. Bill Cosby has not been convicted but from the moment of his accusations and his recent arrest, the media has been all over it. Secondly, pointing out that white cops are seen on video killing black children and nothing is done but Cosby can be arrested cause a white bitch said he raped her 10 years ago is not condoning rape nor protecting him. The truth is Amerikkka doesn't give a fuck about Black people. The only reason what Cosby did is considered a crime is because it involves white girls. If it was black women, it would be a different story. Don't ever be fooled into believing race has nothing to do with what happens in Amerikkka. Post by @KingKwajo

I see a lot of us online bashing "social media activists". Don't ever underestimate the power of social media. There are so many people who were once sleep that are now awake due to social media. Every body has a position in this fight against white supremacy and each of us must play a role. Even in the white mans military, everyone doesn't go to war. There are those who sit behind the computer and give orders, there are nurses, there are those responsible for food. Moral of the story: you can't expect everyone to be on the front lines. There are some black people who can only raise their children to be young strong black kings and queens and there are others who can only teach online. I'm not mad at that at all. Take that negative energy you direct to your own people and use it against racism. Post by @kingkwajo
