is pre-birthday anxiety a thing? i always end up in a weird funk in the days leading up to my birthday. on top of getting older in general, approaching my late 20s offers me little comfort lol. on the bright side, i’m seeing my family this weekend and my coworkers organized a small [social distancing] boba hour for me at work tomorrow that i’m looking forward to!
in the meantime i’ve been trying to keep myself preoccupied so i don’t think too much about it. currently prepping for a few interviews i’m conducting for work at the end of the week and spending my spare time digging into the divine comedy, which i’m really enjoying so far. can’t believe it’s historical fact that dante created self-insert fanfic

Have a great day :)
- rough notes from a reading on Dance of the African Diaspora
.
it's day 3 of quarantine and i am already starting to lose it a bit🙄started the day with a bit of stretching and grooving, and then i can't really remember what I did other than do some of my course readings and video calling friends and family🧐I'm so intrigued by this reading because in Singapore, the African diaspora isn't very prominent in the dance scene, but it's so vibrant here in the UK! In Singapore, dance of the african diaspora is mostly limited to the street dance scene, but I think the cultural ties to Africa are definitely much less as compared to african diaspora dances in the US and the UK. It's so cool that it's such a big thing here and that the scene is so varied - from african contemporary dance to street dance to traditional african dances! If any of you guys practice dances that are linked to africa in some way, comment below!! i'd love to know!

Study tip 1 - Keep a work progress journal! Write down all the tasks that you planned to do and tick off the tasks you completed and write about the tasks you weren't able to complete and the reason behind it. This can be used to reduce procrastination and bettering your time management.

I will be posting a study tip in all of my 100 days of productivity posts ( atleast I'll try to because it will be hard to find 100 tips).
The pictures above are of study tips taken from Cal Newport's book How to Become a Straight A student. I really recommend reading this book. It really guided me.
