Just an update on my sweet boy. He had a relapse in the blockage and it was a lot worse this time. They said it was expected because if it happens again it’s usually 100% worse. He was fine the night before and then by morning he was lethargic and couldn’t walk. He spent 3 days in the hospital with a catheter and fluids. His liver levels were very high. He has been back at home for a week and a half and cleared his retests last week so we think we are good now. He is a trooper for sure! I do call him boots right now because of the shaved leg. 😂
I’m so glad my boy is doing better but it really is a scary situation. We are keeping an eye on him and making sure he is eating his prescription food and getting plenty of fluids. It’s exhausting but worth it! ❤️
I'm kind of disappointed he didn't reply cause I wanted to see how many serial killer facts he could stand. Also "make your legs quieve" made me laugh

My sweet boy had a rough day (and trust me so did we). He was acting weird this morning and because we are obsessed with him we noticed! 😂 he started spending long times in the litter box and nothing was left behind. After the second time of seeing this in a few minutes we rushed him to the hospital. He had a urethral blockage and was completely full. If not caught immediately in male cats this can be lethal. They drained his bladder and he is on meds and finally home. He now has to be on prescription food for the rest of his life because he produces more crystals in his pee than normal. We are more than relieved that he is ok because he is our baby boy child. This is just to say please keep a strong eye on your cats. Slightest change can be serious! Our little Edward is going to be ok. We have to watch him even closer than normal but we love him so much so it’s just part of life. ❤️❤️❤️
