Friday Facts: Ain't Shit Funny is a very personal brand for me. The thought process and designs aren't based on what's trending or what's in style for the season. On the contrary, everything I release is inspired by the life and times of Joshton Peas. My most recent drop, the Forget Me Not hoodie, was conceived way back in 2014 at the Fader Fort in Austin, TX. My boy @travisscott showed up rocking a very rare @dior from Autumn/Winter 2006. I’ve always been a fan of #hedislimane work and was instantly infatuated by the piece. The hoodie was 8 years old at the time and the front graphic was peeling and cracked. At the time @carrotsbyanwarcarrots thought the front graphic was chain stitched. Trav told us how he had been staying at Kanye’s house the week before SXSW and swiped the hoodie from his closet. I ended up getting the design mocked up. I wanted to put my twist on this high fashion street piece. So I flipped the graphic to say Ain’t Shit Funny, had it embroidered on a heavyweight 16oz, then sat on the idea for 2 years. For me, every year has a theme and 2016 feels like my Forget Me Not year. So I decided to release this piece to the masses. Log on to AintShitFunny.com and spend some money in the black community.
