Let’s Mosey - A Cloud Strife Discord Server

Hello Tumblr! I emerge from the ashes with a new lease on fanfiction and new a fandom. 

As such, I’m really craving the community and friendship that I was so lucky to have in the Loki fandom. I looked around but didn’t see anything like this, and so I decided to do it myself!

Let’s Mosey is an 18+ Cloud-centric server for fans and fan creators to meet, chat, and share our favorite fanworks. 

It is a poly and multi-ship friendly server, but offers separate roles for each ship so that you can tailor your experience to your tastes while still participating in the rest of the community.

The server offers fic and art sharing, creator support, RP finder, and the possibility of events if membership takes off.

My goal is to make a LiveJournal-ish place where people really know each other and support each other as a community. It is staunchly anti-drama and a safe space for all fans.

Ao3 is actually massively culturally important and very very good at being what it is. I’m so serious when I say that ao3 needs to be protected as the anti censorship, by fans for fans, nonprofit, volunteer run, expertly designed archival site that it is. You don’t have to read or like fanfiction to understand that on principle, ao3 is a site that should be defended.

If people were too mean to you when you were growing up, a newborn animal will materialize inside your brain and it’s so so scared and shivering and it will stay there for years. Decades, even. And whenever you say something kind of weird but true to your heart the animal will tell you “Noo! You can’t say that! If you say that, everyone will hate you!”. The animal means well. It’s so so small and everything is so scary for them and it’s just trying to protect you. But listen to me. Listen to me. Whenever this happens, you can’t do what the animal says. You can’t. If you do, you’ll become as scared as the animal. You have to keep saying weird shit. You have to keep doing things the animal wouldn’t approve of. If you do enough things that scare the animal, maybe one day it’ll go to sleep.

i just find it really compelling when someone lashes out with the kind of power that has devastatingly far-reaching consequences beyond the personal, whether intentionally or not, and then has to reckon with the fallout of that. like. you're still here. a lot of the people you hurt are still here. where do you go from that? what will you do now?
