Roman when Dean refuses to tag him in
“From the beginning we talked about justice, but what people failed to understand is that “justice” was a metaphor. The greatest injustice was the lack of intensity that existed in WWE before we came in here. We came in to be the pace setters. We came in to set the standard… We are the best. We are better than everybody and we make everybody step their game up.“ THE SHIELD 11.18.2012 — 04.21.2019

Seth dramatically trying to reach Roman while pushing away his IC belt
In both 2022 and 2024, you can see the exact moment Roman throws logic out the window and decides to hit Seth with the chair. again
That moment when you rewatch old pay-per-views so you can get some Shield Action 😩🥺
This is literally the only wrestling I watch these days and old NXT😂
rolleigns is peak lovers to enemies. what if you betrayed your friend and it sets off a chain reaction that caused them to be torn apart by the world until they became a monster? what if they surpassed you anyway and now they're a representation of your insecurities while also acting as a reminder of how cruel your hands could be? what if your friend acts like he doesnt care yet surrounds himself with a false mockery of what you used to have together? what there was someone else you both love but they left and both of you keep wondering in secret if it was your fault? what if you can't stand them but you can never stop loving them anyway?
It's never over with these two♥
PLAN B.
One of my favorite Rolleigns moments - Seth is hurt, so he gets a hug instead of a high five from Roman (and Deano dances night away)
Roman and the emotional trauma he’s carried for 8 years
I’ve always thought that Roman never really got the chance to deal with Seth’s betrayal properly. At the time, Dean took it the hardest because he always kept his emotions bubbling at the surface and Roman was the stoic one. He spent all his time helping Dean, who got to fight Seth multiple times and torment him and generally get everything out of his system.
Roman never got that chance, yet Roman was the one that Seth put the chair into the back of, Roman was the one he was tag partners with, Roman was the one Seth stole his title and Wrestlemania moment from.
He never got an apology or opportunity to strike him back like Dean did, nor did he ever really get any sort of revenge or pay back. Roman never got to fully deal with it, so no wonder that he says he still hates Seth and after all this time, he still doesn’t forgive him. The Shield breakup is the one thing, and Seth is the one person who exists that can get under his skin.
