Wands are showing up frequent in my PERSONAL readings. Does that mean anything? I feel a particular connection to Wands and Pentacles. I used to feel more drawn to cups, but they are becoming less frequent lately.

What It Means to Keep Seeing the Same Suit in Tarot

WANDS

The Mundane: You are focused on work or a hobby, or the search for either.

The Extraordinary: Passion will flood your life, in romance or career.

The Terrible: You will feel burdened by things that used to bring you joy.

PENTACLES

The Mundane: You are focused on money or the lack of it.

The Extraordinary: Material abundance is about to invade your life.

The Terrible: Constant financial difficulties will be your new reality.

CUPS

The Mundane: You are focused on love or emotions, or the absence of either.

The Extraordinary: Love and bliss, in romance or at home, will engulf you.

The Terrible: You are about to suffer from depression and dissatisfaction.

SWORDS

The Mundane: You are focused on mental pursuits: reading, studying, writing.

The Extraordinary: All that is dark and confusing in your life will clear up.

The Terrible: Anxiety will soon cripple your soul and torment your mind.

☀️ Lemon Lavender Litha Cookie RECIPE! ☀️

This was highly requested so here we go! I hope you enjoy this recipe, and I also wish all of you a beautiful and bright Litha!

YOU WILL NEED:

• 1 cup room temperature butter
• 1 1/4 cup powdered sugar (regular sugar is fine, but powdered is recommended for a fluffier cookie)
• 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
• 2 cups flour (i actually ended up using around a 1/4th of a cup more, but it depends on how wet/dry your dough is)
• Splash of coconut milk
• 1 large lemon’s worth of zest
• Half a lemon squeezed
• 1 1/2 tbs dried lavender

Add your butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, lemon juice and zest to a large mixing bowl. Mix together until smooth.

Gradually add your flour. When it comes together, add in the lavender and kneed dough with your hands until all flour is combined. You’re looking for a soft, pliable dough that’s still moist but dry enough to roll.

Roll the dough into desired thickness, cut out your shapes (i did circles and stars, just because 😊). Bake these yummy cookies for 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown on the bottom. Cool completely and serve with a glaze. I made my glaze with powdered sugar, lemon juice and concentrated lavender tea.

To make this magickal, it’s important to know the key ingredient correspondences!

  • Lavender is used for calmness, serenity, purification and rest.
  • Lemon can be used for sun and moon magick, happiness, aura purification, rejuvenation and longevity.

Feel free to add other herbs or spices to make this recipe unique to your practice!

I meditated a lot while making this recipe, and invited my deities to be with me while I worked. I put my personal intentions for rejuvenation, serenity and happiness for the upcoming summer months. I lit some candles, cast a circle before starting and spent some time really focusing on my desired outcome.

I hope you enjoy this Litha recipe! Have fun with it, and have a blessed sabbat ☀️

WITCHES NEED A SECRET SYMBOL FOR SAFE PLACES

So a lot of us are out of the broom closet so to speak, but many of have to be careful of being public because of the views of the communities we live in. What I propose is a symbol we can put on flyers or in shop windows that means “You’re safe here.”

I don’t believe that a pentagram would work because it’s got so much stigma attached and it’s really easily identifiable. Ideally, we can find something that is not tradition specific. I don’t know. I just want us to be able to put feelers out into the community without painting a target on ourselves for intolerant jerk faces, and I want witchlings that are seeking guidance to be able to do so in a safe environment. I mean, how badass would it be to find a little symbol of solidarity in your favorite coffee shop or bookstore??

Reblog with suggestions!

A witches’ foot. It has been used historically like this.

In one of the grimoires I’ve read through, it references this being a secret sign to mark on sacred spaces for the group.

Love it, passing it around. Will be wearing it and hanging it at my house and teashop once I own one.

Hello fellow Tarot readers! Here are my three favorite two card spreads that I use most often in my day to day practice. If I had to choose, I’d say that I like the Release/Receive spread the most; I often use this as an alternative to energy of the day draws. Of course, there are hundreds of two-card spreads out there if none of these resonate with you!

What are some of your favorite two-card spreads?

Hey

I’ve been thinking about making a dedicated witch blog for a while. And thought I should finally do it due to some big changes in whats going on.

A few weeks ago I kinda started to get interested in deities, and at first I felt like I was being drawn towards Hermes and Hekate and the theoi, but I spent a few weeks looking into Hellenic religion and, after a lot of soul searching decided it wasn’t right for me.

At lot of stuff I’d been involved in for a while was very Celtic focused, but I’d never really looked into Celtic religions, I guess cause all the books I’d had were based around it I’d just viewed it as “generic witchcraft” or something. But after this I decided  to look into it, to see what drew me to that while other stuff pushed me away.

And yeah I kinda found my answers, did some praying to the divine for guidance. And I’m currently looking into Celtic Paganism, and feeling a bit like that might have been what was drawing me in all along.

Anyway, would love to talk with other pagan, and polytheists about their experiences and mine.

Thank you.

The Morrigan is change in all its forms. She is change swift as lightning and disorienting as thunder. She is change that draws blood and sweat and tears. She is the sweeping scythe of change that severs the wheat from its stalk and yet She is also the slow, steady millstone of change which grinds that wheat into flour. The Morrigan’s change is not always the cataclysmic storm; sometimes it is the gently falling rain which, over time, will weather what even the tempest could not touch.
