headcanon where when mammon is too shy to admit his feelings, he's loud, boisterous, and an overwhelming flurry of energy. he'll wake you up in the morning with nothing less than pots and pans. mammon announces his presence every chance he gets, never leaving a moment of silence when he finds you lounging around the house of lamentation.

but then the further you break down his walls, the more you realise that mammon's love is... quiet. he no longer whoops and hollers to get your attention. instead, he opts for taking your hand in his, playing with your fingers and tracing the lines on your palms. mammon becomes more subdued than he was initially, but for the sole reason that he finally realises that you accept all sides of him. even the one that you didn't get to know until later on.

so mammon continues to love quietly, with his head on your shoulder and his arms wrapped around you tight. and although it feels a bit strange to not be talking to fill the silence, mammon wouldn't trade the sound of your synced heartbeats for the world.
