“Oh, I’m sure,” Reg replied with a wry, awkward chuckle. “According to the ship’s logs, the holodecks were very well-used during your journey. By all the crew. I, uh, I’m almost surprised you didn’t try to reroute that power supply elsewhere. But I understand needing that escape.” His own life would be very different without the holodeck, and he was pretty comfortable stating that the Voyager crew’s mental health would have been more poorly managed without access to it.

Im just coming on to say please don't take away the fact that seven is canonically bisexual, she's had relationships and experimented with men and whether u like seven/chakotay or not she clearly had feelings for him to the point she tried to push him away to protect his heart and bisexual erasure is a huge fucking problem and I'm tired of seeing it. Any bisexual can have a strong preference for either gender but it doesn't take away the attraction for others. Thanks. On that note the writers erased tom's bisexuality before writing the show and forced Harry into being hetero instead of gay and i will absolutely fight anyone on this.
Whenever janeway puts her hand on tom's shoulder I cry

“now what? now – i mean….” rimmer trails off. “why should we just settle, right? for being so pathetically underestimated. for being….. being……..” he paces, clenching and unclenching his fists as he does so. “a failure! i mean, it was one mistake, wasn’t it? it wasn’t my fault that lister wasn’t there to help fix the drive plate! so really, the deaths of all those people aren’t really on me. right? and i think i’ve done more than enough to make up for it, so i don’t really know why i can’t seem to move past this, i mean, they has to be more, right?” he stops, turns back to tom. “and you, i mean, it must be really frustrating to know you’re going to be stuck out here away from earth for probably the rest of your life and not get a chance to even make something of yourself.” it’s an insult, yes, but it’s directed at himself just as much ( if not more so ) than at tom.
