〖09/15/2017〗 a closer look at my goals for senior year & habits i intend to keep! super happy with how these turned out, and super excited to work towards achieving my goals and maintaining my habits!! •͈ᴗ•͈ /// (currently listening)
I rearranged my desk last night and I love it so much! I feel very motivated to prepare for my educational psychology exam :)
hey guys! I haven’t been super active lately cus I’ve been rly busy with school and life. I should be posting some new photosets and stuff soon tho!
mar. 5 // my roommate and I studied at the cutest pie shop today! incoming finals = messy notes 😅
Good morning! After checking some pictures from my last destination, I started with accounting. A big breakfast is the key to a productive day for me. I made a frittata and on the side some dried fruits, dates and nuts. And of course, some coffee!
I woke up really early and enjoyed the cold morning air :’) I can feel that autumn is arriving! 🍁🍂 I just feel so comfy and at peace during this season :’) what do you like about autumn?
9.9.17 // Happy Weekend!
I’m pretty busy this weekend, working at another venue (just like I did last summer). It’s been a fun experience + I’ve learned a lot! I’m looking forward to hearing from a volunteer position that I signed up for (at a youth help line) because I believe it would be a great opportunity to learn more clinical skills + get to practice it! I used to be interested in studying Clinical Psychology, but in the end I decided against it 😊 I’m still interested in the field, but I’m more passionate about research!

The workload at university is slowly getting easier to manage; I’ve fully completed one worksheet way ahead of the deadline (for once), and have made some progress on most of the other worksheets. Algebra’s still killing me and I’m struggling with programming, but I’m already doing better than I was two weeks ago, so I think I just need more time to adjust.
hi kylie! i was wondering if you use any apps regarding school? like schedules/studying apps etc. i'm starting uni this week and i'm not sure on how to stay organized:( xx
PLAN: if you’re in the studyblr community you’ve probably seen this around! it’s a really intuitive scheduling app, especially if you don’t currently have a daily planner. i like how you can rearrange the times of your tasks, as well as add multiple steps. i know for sure that there is a super detailed post about it somewhere but i can’t find it right now, so please check out their site and i’m sure it’ll make more sense than my explaining. (web / iOS)
POMODRONE: this is my pomodoro timer of choice, and it’s free! (iOS)
FOCUSNOW: a free version of forest, but you grow vegetables instead of trees. if you’re always on your phone like me, this should help you concentrate more while you’re studying. (iOS)
SLADER: this is an app that allows you to easily find answers for textbook questions. they are user uploaded so you may or may not find what you want, but all the questions i’ve been interested in have generally been answered. i really like looking up questions when i’m stuck since most people write explanations and show working for the questions. (web / iOS / android)
CAMSCANNER: this is basically an app that lets you take photos from your phone and turn them into ‘scans’. it has a variety of uses but it’s especially useful if you don’t own a textbook or maybe you only need a textbook for a small portion of the course, in which case you can take photos of your friends’ textbooks or books from the library and edit them in the app to be more legible. (iOS / android)
ONENOTE: this is how i take lecture notes for a lot of my courses. i prefer it over word since the canvas is a bit more flexible and you can categorise your notes into different courses and lectures in the same interface, rather than having a million different documents. (web / iOS / android)
PUSHBULLET: this isn’t strictly for school but it makes my life a bit easier in general. you can send things (links, text, etc) from your phone to your computer or other devices really easily. you can also use it to send texts from your phone, which is handy sometimes. i like using it when i’m on uni computers and find something that i want on my own device. (fun fact: i wrote the majority of this post on my phone and used pushbullet to send it to my computer for adding links) (web / iOS / android / chrome extension)
hey guys!!!
so this entire past month has been extremely, extremely stressful for me because i had so many exams and i only realised how hideously unprepared i was for them on the day before the exam, which was really really awful. so in the middle of september i created a studyblr to keep myself motivated + get some helpful tips from the studyblr community on how to go abt studying for tests. the results proved to be super helpful and ive resolved to keep running this blog for as long as i can, because it really helps me stay motivated and i’ve already learned so many things from the community, despite the fact that i’ve only been here for around a month.
but anyways, i decided to create this masterpost in order to help others stay motivated + keep studying not only well but also properly i.e. not necessarily studying for exams but life in general, if that makes sense.
