Second encounters {tag;;nerdyinspace}

"I guess it’s pretty much how you described it, really," she admitted. "Well… Minus the whole disease and danger business. Danger is my thing,” she laughed. Millie loved the whole concept of space. Ever since she was a kid, she dreamed of seeing the stars. Now she was literally in them. 

"But, on the other hand, I guess I do miss breathing and living in the fresh air. God, I can’t believe it’s been more than a year since I walked the Earth…" She took another sip of her drink, Millie could definitely get used to this stuff. "That sounds like a movie."

"I've noticed, had to look over your wounds myself remember?" Bones pointed out in regards to Millie's danger comment. Working on the Enterprise, Bones was beginning to think one had to be a bit of an adrenaline junkie to survive the time on the crew. In her youth, Leonora had found space intriguing but after stories of her father's patients, getting patients of her own and her father's eventual death Bones was turned off to the notion. 

The doctor chuckled a bit at the second comment, amused. "I suppose it does, though I haven't seen a movie in a long time. I used to take Jo to see one every now and again back home" Though that had been when her daughter was smaller, and a bit easier to impress. 

“… I will take the required medical leave.” It was said perhaps a little reluctantly, but he could certainly see the merit in at least a little rest. He would not be much use as  he was. “However I can do so without the sedative and in my quarters.”

Her first instinct was to argue. Honestly it would be easier on Spock to sleep through the pain but she had seen him pinch the nerves of anyone who came close without permission. Bones sighed, shaking her head. "Fine, fine but I'm checking on you myself, no over working you hear? Or I will sedate you, got it pointy?"

"Nothing. Nothing’s broken. Why would you even think that? Why would I even think that? There’s nothing wrong with the coffee replicator. Not that you thought there was. Or I thought there was."

"You broke the coffee replicator? How in hell did you manage to do that?! We just had the damn thing fixed and it's broken again already? What are you putting that poor thing through Chapel?!"

‘Not really.’

"I hate you sometimes you know that?"

Jenna's face paled at the statement; her immune system was already weak. She couldn't afford to have it be weakened anymore.

Taking a seat next to the patient though her eyes never left the PADD as she looked over the recent batch of test results. "Relax, it's nothing too horrible, I highly doubt anyone will die from it, the allergic reactions seem very mild at the moment"
