when it comes to Ethel’s death, are august underground and televangelism happening simultaneously? I always had this visceral feeling that august underground was the physical “before” and televangelism was the mental “after” of the journey, but for her sake I hoped she was just in televangelism-world in the whole time. girls don’t always be getting that grace tho
they’re all one song sort of. you’re kinda right, august underground is the physical action of her murder while televangelism is more of what’s happening in her head as she fades away. there’s actually more to televangelism that will be revealed later which i’m excited abt lol
