((All right guys, my new blog at @ersatzambassador is officially up and running (no posts yet, but I’ll fix that soon). This is now an archive and maybe eventually deleted. I’ll check back here for a couple of weeks in case of stragglers))

((I promise I’m working on the new blog. I just keep getting distracted and there are  a lot of pages to copy over))

((Okay, so starting today, I’ll be moving blogs. It’ll be under the same user name and have the same icon and theme. I still have to get it set up everything, so it’ll be a while. I’m going to transfer a couple of threads and I’m thinking about starting at ground zero with most of the relationships, though I’m willing to do pre-established relationships or keep one we had on this blog. Just let me know if you want to do either))

Getting away from his wife had been easy. She hadn’t even asked where he was going and if she had, would she have really cared enough to listen? His cousin had been a little more suspicious, washing down his suspicions with a glass of beer rather than hound Peter to death.
By the time the gangster had gotten to the apartment, he’d almost entirely forgotten which one it was. Luckily enough, the day have become and would forever be, a vivid memory. He makes his way to the door, two paper bags chocker with ingredients tight beneath each arm.
He eyes the door, then his uncomfortable stature, and he opts for knocking with his foot. Well, what else could he do? Drop his bags and knock? Nah. These were some fine quality ingredients and who knew what had been on these multi-complex carpets.
“Ay, I’m here-” he tapped. Hopefully, they’d hear him. “I bring gifts-!”

Enkidu heard him and went to answer the door, if only because it knew his voice and could tell that he had come alone. Plus, the smell of food was making it hungry. It had purposefully not gorged itself as usual that afternoon on dumpster food so the smell wouldn’t linger on it when Pete came over.

“Come in.” It waved him in. “Gina’s just getting the paper plates and stuff set up.”

“I hope I didn’t order too much food,” she stated as she set the to go boxes on the coffee table. “And I told my neighbors I was having a friend from school over, so don’t worry about raising too many suspicions. After all, college is filled with people of all ages and types.”

(( I am definitely moving this blog but it'll take a while because our Internet is out and the provider can't get here until Friday.))

((I think I may reboot this blog. Or at least move it and move my current threads over. Just not feeling it here, but still love the characters and the threads I do have))

Avatar

((I’m considering rebooting the blog. Though I don’t know if I’d do a soft reboot or a hard one.))

((tfw you want to restart the blog, but you don’t want to type all that info up again/find a theme/get a new email))

The large avian soared on through the dusky skies, carrying the two towards a hopefully safer outcropping of rock – or what had initially seemed to be an outcropping. Rather, it was what remained of a massive and old stone building just south of Hyrule Field.     The creature circled, passengers still in tow and hanging on. A few bugle-like cries later, and an individual stepped from the darker shadows.       Whoever the individual was, they wore a dark and hooded cloak and the Twilit kargorok obeyed the commands given in a foreign tongue. “N'eruut, wie'c,” the voice commanded, and the creature landed atop the wider platform to allow the passengers to descend. In response to the obeyed command, the figure rewarded the unusual bird with an almost rodent-like treat and spoke more unsual words. In a flurry of black, leather-like wings, the avian departed for the dark skies.       “You two have ended up in quite the mess. But you’re not alone in this alot of peoples are suffering all for the mistakes of one individual,” the voice from beneath the hood spoke with a peculiar accent and offered a little reassurance. “I was given the message that you needed to escape the castle. I trust the ride was decent enough?” Probably scared the two half to death, if anything. “And not to worry. You are safe here for now. Most of the so-called beasts do not travel this far.”

Gina didn’t observe the passing landscape. She kept her easy close and muttered something to herself, willing herself to not get sick. There wasn’t much of a chance of it happening, but she still didn’t want to experience it. Enkidu just hung onto the talons, anxiety flowing through him.

They were both thankful when they were dropped, even if it was in front of a hooded figure. Obscured faces seemed to be the style in the land of Hyrule currently. Enkidu didn’t like it too much, but it was hardly one to talk most of the time.

Gina got up and dusted herself of, trying her best to put herself back together in order to make a decent impression on the being who was apparently their rescuer. And here she had suspected the one that had let them go when they ran into Zant.

“I didn’t think we were going to make it a couple of times back there, so thank you very much. And thank the one whole helped us too if you get the chance.” She politely bowed a bit. “I am Gina Fields, Ambassador from a far away country. And this is Enkidu, my bodyguard. Who might you be?”

“Oh, y’know, busy as always,” Abby replied with a shrug and a smile. “She doesn’t get out much. Really wish she’d take a vacation… I’m alright, though! I just left rehearsal and we’re doing great! Much better than the last play we put on, that’s for sure…”
Abby looked down, lifting a leg slightly and showing off the plate-armor leggings she was wearing. They appeared to be real metal of some sort, not just props, and they gleamed beautifully in the evening sunlight. “Ooh, whatcha think of these? I made them! They’re part of my costume. I was testing ‘em out under the stage lights to see how reflective they were. I need to buff ‘em out so they’re not so shiny. Wouldn’t want to blind the audience now, would I?”

“I’ve never been one for the theater, honestly, but I’m glad things seem to being going well for you!” She could be glad for other people’s success, even if she wasn’t too interested in what they succeeded in.

Gina looked at the plate armor leggings. “Oh, you’re into smithing? So is my friend, Enkidu. Though it’s better at the weapons part than armor. Not that its species needs that much armor. So, how long did they take you to make?”
