digital art from real life

@seventeenlovesthree / seventeenlovesthree.tumblr.com

she/her | 33 | Germany | My blog has become a multi-fandom blog through the years, so you will find a lot of anime, Digimon in particular, including fanart, meta & edits. There will still be occasional mentions of football (Die Mannschaft, FC Bayern München, Arsenal FC). Beware of nostalgia outbreaks and the appearance of big friendly giraffes. My ask box will always be open.

Max probably looked at his scarf and thought "how warm it must be", because that ALB material was so thin and he's already shivering like crazy...

Kai probably wanted to avoid future problems, like a cold Max. Since his nose looked so red and his skin so pale.

Note¹: It's not essentially stolen, but I thought a scene like that after reading this 🍊
Note²: Forgive me for the cliché (๑¯-¯๑)...
Note³: I thought about doing a domestic scene. Maybe at another time...

SAME. HEIGHT.

You  forget that in the soul room Yami is taller than Yuugi. What about the episodes that show them there? Yami’s always taller. Also, in his own form hes nearly as tall as Joey and Tristan.

Not in the manga. Yami (and Atem) is always the same height as Yugi. Whether it’s as above (one in body, one spirit), in the soul room or in Millenium World. Literally every panel they’re next to each other they’ll be the same height.

The original idea was that Yami gives off the illusion he’s taller because he stands straighter. He’s confident, so he stands shoulders back, back straight. Whereas Yugi is shy, so he tends to hunch. But if you put them side-by-side, they’re the same height.

The anime took the ‘Yami standing straighter, looks taller’ a little too far by making Yami’s height… entirely different depending on the episode. Sometimes they’re the same, sometimes the difference is minimal, other times Yugi comes up to his naval for some reason. But in the Memory Arc and the final duel, when they’re mostly separate, they’re usually the same height.

TL;DR, Yami’s a short mofo too, the anime just mucks this up a lot.

Wait.  Wait.

Wait.

I know that telephone pole.

I know that telephone pole intimately because I’m the one who broke it.

Thats the pole next to Sycamore Jr. High, in between the jr high school and Pipkins, where I had my second car accident.  A woman t-boned my car and drove me into that pole in 2008 and it took them years to actually take it down.

That black metal pole you see just beyond the broken phone pole is a “Now Leaving/Welcome To Blue Ash, Ohio” sign, visible at 5520 Cooper Road on google maps.

(the flag is there, btw, because its the starting point for the Blue Ash/Montgomery July 4th parade.)

The internet is so staggeringly immense that I can’t help but be disproportionately delighted when things like this happen.

Digimon Adventure 02 ~ Episode 39 (Japanese version) Koushiro(u) Izumi and his mother, Mrs. Izumi

Arigatō * [ Thanks ] , okaa-san [ *Mother ] ** ”…

gifset by @izzyizumi , { DO NOT REPOST } { usage of gifs may be allowed if permission is asked / or if credit is given. However, read my about & FAQ pages first. Please do not use / ask if you match anything in my “Do Not Interact” section. }

[ * Note #1: “ Arigatō ”, informal / more personal, instead of the more informal / distanced Arigatō gozaimas(u) ” ] ( Additional Note: This is a direct callback to how Koushiro responded to his parents telling him about his adoption in Adventure Episode #38, in which Koushiro responded to his parents with, “ Arigatō gozaimas(u)… ah noA- Arigatō … … ” … )

[ ** Note #2: “ Okaa-san ”, mother , still a bit more informal / (maybe) distanced with Koushiro’s overall overly-polite way of speaking in Japanese (vs., for example, “kaa-san”, “kaa-chan”, “Mama”), but, in combination with the “ Arigatō ” here in 02, he’s trying !… ]

You don’t have to change yourself for us. ” - Mr. Masami Izumi

“ Yes. All we want is for you to be happy. ” - Mrs. Izumi
