So I hope Mashima really clears this up...

Or maybe someone could explain this to me.

From what I’ve gathered, Zeref says that Layla opened the door of the Eclipse on July 7th X777.

When it was time to open the gate, Aquarius’s key had yet to be found.

Seven days passed and Zoldeo killed Grammy.

However, this is where I’m lost. How was Zoldeo able to kill Grammy in the first place if by this time he should have been merged with Capricorn?

Remember, Capricorn explains his story on Tenrou Island in the year X784. This is seven years after X777.

Twenty years ago means the year was actually X764 when Layla’s health declined and she gave up her keys.

And according to Zoldeo/Capricorn, he had been gone from the celestial world for 17 years, indicating that was when Zoldeo left the mansion and committed the taboo in the year X767.

So how is it possible for Zoldeo to be in the Heartfilia mansion and to have killed Grammy in X777 when he should have already been missing for ten years? Even if he heard news about Layla and had come back for his revenge, one- Layla would have been missing 2 keys, and second- Zoldeo should have been trapped in Capricorn’s body.

Maybe it’s possible that there were two incidents when Layla opened the Eclipse door? One in X767 and the other in X777?

It can’t be the year X764 (even though Capricorn states something happened) because according to Layla and Grammy, Lucy is already born and she wasn’t born until the year X767.

So is it possible that Aquarius’s flashback takes place in year X767? It would explain why Zoldeo is still around and that Lucy is born even if she’s just a few months old. But then again, this doesn’t close a loop and instead raises MORE questions.

Why was the gate opened in X767 when the dragon slayers weren’t brought until the year X777? Was it something related to Lucy? And how would Layla be able to open the gate in the year X777 if Capricorn’s key wasn’t around? Does she just give up the rest of her life force to bring the dragon slayers over? But Aquarius and Zeref talk like the gate only opened once and Zeref gives the date so could there even be an earlier day? But most importantly, why are the Gods letting humans open the Eclipse gates so much?

I hope Aquarius’s flashback takes place in the year X767. I mean, there are some small details that still won’t make sense but I think it would be less messy than this taking place in X777 like Mashima was hinting.

Mashima may be an example of #writerscantdomath Good observation but it makes everything so much more complicated if Mashima went that route

Reblog if you think having depression and anxiety is valid.

I have a point to prove. For everyone that reblogs this, your URL will be written in a notebook and given to my psychology teacher, who believes that depression is a choice. You have until June 1, 2016.

I don’t think I’ve ever reblog fed something faster.

A Christmas Miracle

it doesnt reallyy explain here why lucy wants the tree so bad, maybe ill explain it in a later fic. anyway, here is something crappy for my children so I at least feel like I accomplished a thing. merry christmas everyone!

Summary: Taking place during Lucy’s first year at Fairy Tail, her one true Christmas wish seems completely impossible. Lucky for her, Lucy’s Christmas miracle comes bounding in last minute with wild pink hair and a toothy grin.

Lucy was angry. Not just stomping-towards-her apartment-room-angry, but also slamming-the-door-open-with-so-much-force-she-is-pretty-sure-she-broke-it angry.

And she was really not in the mood to get it repaired.

Under normal circumstance, Lucy would have been screaming at Natsu for being in her apartment without her permission and is that snow footprints on my rug. Yet she completely ignored his obvious presence on her bed when she walked in. Natsu was about to speak up about her rage, which if it was a physical form, would be flying out of her ears in a steam. Yet she shot him a simple glare before he could even utter a sound, a glare that would make even Mira or Erza shrivel up into a frightened ball. Needless to say, it made Natsu shriek. And fall off of the bed, but that is something he’d prefer to leave out.

“Complete. Garbage.” Her voice seemed to shake the walls of a building on the other side of Fiore, yet she spoke hardly above a menacing whisper.

Natsu sat up quietly, as if she were a sleeping bear, and at this point, it seemed as if she was. One poke with a stick in the wrong area and he was dead where he stood. So he waited for her to talk about it, which he assumed she would knowing her.

He was right.

“All of the fucking trees were either missing all of their branches or look like they came straight out of Charlie Brown!” Lucy slammed herself down onto her bed, throwing her shoes off as if they contained bombs, “I mean sure, it’s Christmas eve and all but…but…” Her face fell, “It’s Christmas eve and I still don’t have a tree.” She whispered, almost silently, her eyes lost somewhere between time and space.

Natsu rolled back onto the bed and threw a comforting arm around her shoulders, his signature grin sitting on his face as if he were born with it.

“Awh c’mon, you don’t need a tree here anyway! There’s one at the guild, and besides, there is always next year and…”

“Yeah I know I know it’s just…” Her eyes wandered to the window, where gentle tufts of snow started to dance outside of the thick glass “...I don’t know. I was just looking forward to it I guess?” She shot him a bittersweet smile.

“Here, I could run out to the east forest and just cut down one of those trees---”

Lucy cut him off with a humorless laugh, refusing to meet his onyx eyes.

“That’s illegal, and I’d rather not have to pay all of the fines you’d owe,”

“The law has never stopped me before,” Natsu muttered, a dead serious expression resting on his face. Lucy’s smile twitched, but it remained where it was as she gently pushed Natsu towards the door.

“Thanks for the support, I’ll see you tomorrow, okay?”

Despite her shoves towards the door, he turned around and hopped straight out of the window and climbed down the tree that rested by it, just as he always did. He concluded his exit with a gentle hop onto the ground, which already was covered in a thick layer of snow, and he began walking towards the direction of the guild.

“Guess I’m going to be busy tonight…”

.~*~.~*~.

“IT’S CHRISTMAS IT’S CHRISTMAS IT’S CHRISTMAS WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UPPPPPP,”

Lucy cracked open one of her eyes, ignoring the blaring sound in the back of her head that screamed ‘You don’t want to wake up,’. Her eye, blurred with fatigue, was instantly met with the grinning face of Natsu Dragneel, who was leaning over her, almost in a puppy like fashion.

“Alright, alright I’m up…” She slowly opened her other eye where a strange… shine caught her attention, “What the---Oh my mavis you did not.”

There sat a tree in the corner of Lucy’s home, icicles and pinecones hanging from the evergreen needles like ornaments. The top of the pine tree was bent over slightly, being concealed by the short roof of Lucy’s tiny apartment. Yet, despite gravity’s every law, there still seemed to be a paper star at the top of the upside down Christmas tree.

“Natsu!” She shrieked, throwing the covers off of her body in order to embrace her best friend. He stood there for a moment in surprise, only able to stare at the wall behind Lucy’s head. But that moment was over as soon as it came and he hugged her back with an easy smile resting on her face.

“Merry Christmas, Lucy,” He stated with a grin, pulling her further into the hug.

“Merry Christmas, Natsu,” She whispered back, happily accepting his warm hold.

The (Not) So Secret Santa

Collab by @amehanaaa and @lonestormMerry Christmas Fairy Tail Fandom!!

Summary:  Playing Secret Santa wasn’t really Lucy’s forte, but as Natsu held out his idea, she blurted out the first thing on her mind. “Why the hell are you choosing THAT gift for your crush?”

Found here on ff.net

If it hadn’t been for the pink-haired boy from chemistry class, Lucy might have been driven absolutely up the wall. It was just her luck that she had to be paired up with Sting, the most obnoxious person in the whole class. All she ached to hear was the bell that would dismiss them for the day. The only downside, though, was if she heard the chime of the bell, that meant she needed to head straight to work.

Of course, she did greatly appreciate her job at the small gift shop downtown; it was normally quiet, warm, and gave her plenty of time to do her homework at the front desk.  Christmas season, however, was a different story.

The place was bustling, customers generally asking stupid questions, complaining about their favorite brands being sold out, and children screaming in their parent’s wake.  Lucy was pretty done with humans when he walked in.

She’d been straightening her golden blonde locks after rushing around to find the right size shirt in the back that the customer had been demanding.  When she looked up, he was walking in, halting as he noticed her behind the counter. Lucy recognized him; the boy that sat directly behind her.  She knew his name was Natsu, he was a friend of her friends, he was loud and funny as well as a genius at chem.

And, admittedly, extremely cute.

Not that she noticed, of course.

Natsu looked mildly stricken to see her, but quickly recovered, shooting a wide grin before ambling off. Lucy tried not to let her eyes glance at him too much as she eventually resumed folding shirts. She peeked through her lowered lashes while Natsu filed through a rack of shirts. Normally, she would have to be over there by now—asking him if he needed any help—but her feet seemed to be stuck to the floor. She pretended not to notice the several pauses he made when picking up an item and studying it intently.

After selling a few chocolates, Natsu finally appeared at the counter, holding a…

What even is that?

“Why the hell are you choosing THAT for a gift for your crush?”
