Hey friends, long time no post!

It's been nearly two years since I last posted here! I decided to log back onto Tumblr on a whim recently, to find that I'm still getting people following me and reblogging my old Edna post, so I figured I should maybe make a little update post for you all.

Despite 2020 being...2020, I've still been making a lot of cosplays and clothes to keep myself busy! I've been doing much more original designs rather than "canon" cosplays recently. I'll try to post some of my favorites here so you can all see what I've been up to. I have quite a backlog, including some couple cosplays with my boyfriend! I've been much more active over on Instagram, which has the same username as here!

I hope you all have been well, all things considered!

“Did you come here for a pie, sir?”

My Mrs. Lovett cosplay from Sweeney Todd! I actually made this last year, but just got nice pictures of it at DragonCon.  This was a cosplay I had wanted to make for years, and I’m so happy I finally did! It’s one of the few cosplays that I really tried to be as accurate as possible (I usually take artistic liberties, lol) and I think I achieved that pretty well.

Liches get stitches.

My Lup cosplay from The Adventure Zone! I designed, constructed, and applied makeup for this cosplay myself - it’s honestly one of the cosplays I’m most proud of.  For DragonCon, I added a giant scythe! I got to go to the TAZ Atlanta live show, and I figured I had to bring out my best and most Extra prop work to be in the presence of the McElroys.  I was basically melting in the heat, but I’m happy I got the chance to finally snap some nice documentation photos of this cosplay.  Also, I accidentally trespassed to get some of these shots, but I feel like that’s on brand for Lup.

“Wake up, Vault Hunter.”

My Angel cosplay from Borderlands 2! Honestly, I didn’t really expect to make another Borderlands cosplay unless we had any news about the third game, but I got that cel shading itch, so I made Angel for DragonCon! I walked in the parade again and had a lot of fun! I think this is my sixth Borderlands cosplay, but it’s actually the first time I’ve ever cosplayed a Siren.  I conquered my fear of Siren tattoos - not as arduous and time consuming as I thought they would be!

Hey y’all, long time no post! I’ll have some shots of my recent cosplays to show you soon! For now, here’s one of my newest cosplays, Jinx from Teen Titans! I made this cosplay for Metrocon a few weeks ago. It was a bit of a challenge, but I”m pretty happy with the result! I was also really happy I got to do a group with a few friends, so I’ll get some pictures of that up soon too!

I did a Tank Girl makeup test a couple weeks ago! I always forget how fun this cosplay is until I see it all put together. I tried out a few new things for this makeup test and I’m pleased with how it turned out! Normally I like to edit my photos just for lighting correction, but these are completely unedited because I don’t have Photoshop anymore, haha. I’m probably gonna be wearing this cosplay to MegaCon in a few weeks!!

“Garyl, if you’ve never listened to the show, is a beautiful binicorn.  He’s rainbow colored, and I created him from my heart.” -Justin McElroy

My genderbent Garyl cosplay from The Adventure Zone! I wasn’t sure if I even wanted to post it since it’s a pretty chill cosplay by my standards, but I had so much fun wearing and making it that I decided to.  I made this on a whim (with encouragement from my filthy enabler friends) about a week and a half before Holiday Matsuri.  I’m really glad I did, because the TAZ meetup was one of my favorite parts of the con!  I’m happy I managed to get some really nice photos of Garyl there.  I loved being a sparkly quasi-real binicorn! I’ve been arguably way too into TAZ lately, so expect more cosplays from it soon!

“I’m the greatest Earthbender alive! Don’t you two dunderheads ever forget!”

My Toph cosplay from Avatar that I wore at Holiday Matsuri! I was really surprised at how happy I was with this cosplay, it was a lot of fun to wear! I’ve now cosplayed a Firebender and an Earthbender, halfway to completing bender bingo!

Hey friends! Just an update!

It’s been ages since I posted, sorry! Honestly, I kinda forgot I had a Tumblr there for a sec.  But, I’m gonna try and get better about posting here again! New year, new me, right? Something like that.

I have a small backlog of photos to post for now, and as for upcoming cosplans, I’m not really sure what I’m doing next! Currently, I’m working on revamping my Dream cosplay from Sandman to wear to Katsucon.  After that, I won’t have a con for a while, so I’ll have a bit of time to figure out what my next cosplays will be!

I’ve said it before, but I post a lot more on my Instagram! I may start posting some progress pictures here too, if there’s any interest! The username for Insta is the same as here.

Thanks for sticking around! <3

My Tink Girl cosplay - a crossover between Tinkerbell and Tank Girl! I designed this cosplay myself.  I wore it to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party a few weeks ago, I had a lot of fun! I also had a lot of fun designing it; there are a ton of references and puns on it, from Peter Pan, Tank Girl, and other things that I’m a fan of.

“Is it mad to pray for better hallucinations?”

My Siren cosplay from Alice: Madness Returns!  I got to shoot this at the Georgian Aquarium during DragonCon!

There are 143 eyelets and 120 LEDs in this dress!  There are also about 200 fish scales, made of craft foam.  More Alice cosplays soon! I love cosplaying her!

“My father always said my sister was born lucky.”

My dad and me as Ozai and Azula from Avatar: The Last Airbender! I taught my dad how to sew and he made most of his cosplay himself! We had a lot of fun wearing these at DragonCon - we cosplay together pretty often but it’s not often we get to cosplay characters who are actually father and daughter!

We took some artistic liberties with these to make them a little fancier than they appear in the show.

You can find some more pictures of my cosplay here.

My Azula cosplay from Avatar: The Last Airbender!  I wore this last weekend at DragonCon, and I’m so happy with how it turned out!  I think this is going to become one of my favorite cosplays! Luckily no one usurped my throne during the recent eclipse.

I took some artistic liberties with this one, adding some details to make it a little fancier than the show - like the painting on the armor, and the dragon panel (which I based on Zuko’s dragon from Legend of Korra!).  I’m really happy with how those changes turned out too!

My dad also cosplayed Ozai with me! I’ll post some photos of both of us soon!

“You get what anyone gets. You get a lifetime.”

My Death cosplay from Neil Gaiman’s Sandman! This is a pretty low-key cosplay by my standards; the only new things I made for it were the belt and the ankh, everything else was things I already had.  Admittedly I was a little nervous to cosplay Death, she’s one of my favorite characters ever and I wasn’t sure I could do her justice - but I felt really good and confident in this cosplay!

I wore Death at DragonCon this year, and last year I cosplayed Dream - I guess I unofficially have a new tradition to cosplay a member of The Endless every year.  Delirium next?
