Autumn witchery

Hello everyone! I am very excited about fall this year since last year my nervous system was too upset and anxious all the time to let me enjoy the season! This year I’m planning on having more fun and want to share some fun things to do with everyone! Here are some things you can do to get into the fall spirt!

  • Collect fallen leaves and write down things you want to release. Fall is essentially the preparation before a metaphorical death, where we shed our woes and life begins to slow down. When we write things on fallen leaves and let them go, we’re essentially expelling what might be holding us back. So! Start by gathering the leaves you want! You might find you’re attracted to a certain kind or multiple kinds! Any crunchy, fallen leaf will do. Then, write a couple of things you want to expel from your life onto the leaves. Each item should be one word per leaf. For example, if I wanted to expel self doubt, I would write ‘doubt’ on the leaf. As you’re writing, think of your intention and pour your release into it. Afterwards, exhale a few minutes of thought/meditation and then release those bad boys! Now, there’s many ways to ‘release’ the leaves, and not one way is the right way, so do whatever you please. You can crumble them up and toss them. You can burn them. You can toss them with the leaves you’re raking. My only advice for releasing back into the world however, is to try and use non-toxic writing utensils when writing on the leaves. If you don’t even want to write, you can put thought into each leaf and release them that way! It’s all up to you!
  • Gratitude journaling on new and full moons. This is something I need to do myself. We often get so busy with our day to day lives we forget to be grateful for what we have. If you celebrate Samhain, you’ll know the the wheel of the year closes in the middle of fall! It’s a great time to take advantage of the new and full moons and think about what you’re grateful for and log it. Gratitude can be anything, ranging from memories, people and pets, to the items you have, to ideas you have, to yourself, to the universe, etc. List what you’re grateful for and stew on it. Inhale it in and relish in the feelings you get. If you’re like me and really creative, maybe even take a page, decorate it, list things you’re grateful for and hang it up for the season!
  • Update your altar. I am personally a very avid believe of altars being a good source of our empowerment and energy. The healthier the altar, the healthier the witch. Take this time to dust your altar, cleanse your altar, connect with it and then decorate for the season! It’s the time to get fall colors, to set out stones that attach to fall, to display your favorite fall things and just get in touch with the season. Meditating with your altar can sometimes be very liberating and nice too, so if you’re big on that, go for it.
  • Use a simmer pot. Simmer pots are used by witches and non-witches all throughout the year! My personal favorite time to use them is during the fall, however, when they have a crispness to them that the warmer seasons don’t offer as neatly. It’s really easy to make a simmer pot and you can put practically anything in it, but most people put fruits and herbs! For fall, apple skins, cinnamon and honey can make the home smell really wonderful and help to bring out opportunity! Put your intention into your ingredients and make it count!
  • Visit a cemetery. I honestly see this concept a lot in the fall season and I wanted to bring it up because I was taught there are strict rules when it comes to visiting a cemetery that not many young witches know. When you go out to visit a cemetery, it is wise to always be respectful and be aware of the cemetery’s guardian. Each cemetery has one, no matter how young or old the property and they are always watching you. Some are relaxed and don’t mind trespassers/visitors, but some do not appreciate the living coming in without offerings or at all. A good couple of things to bring with you to a cemetery are: - A couple of coins - A shot of alcohol (if able, take the glass/bottle with you when you’re done or find the nearest trashcan.) - Fresh fruit  - Fresh bread Do NOT bring: Litter, anything packaged that can become litter, anything illegal or anything that can disrupt the cemetery. Be respectful when you visit!

SHADOW WORK SIMPLIFIED

  • What is shadow work?
If I had to describe shadow work in one word, it would be introspection. Introspection is the examination of your own mental state and is necessary in order to learn more about your fundamental nature. Although it may sound off-putting and even scary at first, shadow work is a necessary component in the process of healing. We all have aspects of ourselves that we’ve rejected and hidden away out of fear. Through shadow work, we’re able to reflect on our thoughts, emotions, and habits so that we can find the root cause of our suffering and heal ourselves. By reincorporating those aspects of ourselves that we’ve denied, we feel more fulfilled and can begin to love ourselves fully.
  • Where does shadow work come from?
The concept of the shadow self comes from Carl Jung who believed that our shadow self is the subconscious aspect, or “dark side”, of our personality that our conscious ego doesn’t identify with. However, I would like to clarify that “dark” does not imply or equate with bad. That which resides outside of our consciousness can be either good or bad, but aren’t inherently reflective of our value or “goodness” as a person.
Although these repressed aspects of ourselves can manifest negatively, it isn’t because those parts of us are “bad”, but that the process of repression is inherently painful and toxic. This is reflected by Jung when he states, “Everyone carries a shadow, and the less it is embodied in the individual’s conscious life, the blacker and denser it is.” He believed that until we’ve merged our conscious and subconscious selves, that our conscious would be “the slave of the autonomous shadow”. This is due to the shadow self overwhelming our conscious selves by falling victim to our own self-imposed traps.
Through assimilating this shadow self, not over-identifying with it, Jung believed we go through the process of enantiodromia, thereby integrating the subconscious by reincorporating our shadow selves into our personality and allowing us to solidify ourselves through wholeness. He best described this by stating “assimilation of the shadow gives a man body, so to speak.” However, don’t fall into the misconception that shadow work is a short-term practice. Shadow work is a continuous practice and integration of the shadow self is a will take place throughout your life.
  • How do I do shadow work?
In the last question, I identified that practicing self-reflection is a key component of shadow work, but what does that mean? What am I supposed to be reflecting on? Well, the first thing that you should focus on is being present throughout the day. Identify feelings that come up throughout the day and observe them objectively. What situation or interaction triggered these emotions? How did I react to those emotions? Were my emotions controlling me or was I in control of my emotions? Why did this situation or interaction cause me to feel this way? How did I cope with those feelings (self-harming, lashing out at others, communicating my feelings, journalling, etc.)? Did I punish myself for getting upset? If so, why?
There are numerous ways to reflect on your feelings and experiences in order to get a better understanding of yourself. Through evaluating how you react to situations, which situations upset you, and how you managed those feelings, you’re able to build the foundation to understanding your emotions and bridge the gap between your subconscious and conscious mind.
Once you’ve done this, you’ll find that the emotions you feel in the present are reflective of unhealed emotions from your past. Perhaps the reason you feel that you’re unable to set boundaries as an adult is because as a child, your parents never respected your boundaries by going through your phone or diary, yelling at you when you said no to a request, forcing you into situations that made you feel you had no choice.
By identifying the root cause of your emotional pain, you’re able to address it in the present and heal from the trauma. The simplest way that I’ve found to address them is through journalling. You can purchase a physical journal or even use your notes app, either way, you’re writing out your feelings and reflections to gain deeper insight. It’s important to remember that this looks different for anyone and that the best way to approach shadow work is by doing what feels most natural! You can choose to stick to self-reflective journal prompts, vent about whatever is upsetting you, write letters to whoever has hurt you, etc. Ultimately, you can guide yourself based off of what you feel you need and where you are in your journey.
What parts of yourself do you find yourself rejecting the most? Many of us have experienced the pain of rejection in some aspects of our lives and sometimes, it’s incredibly painful and leaves us with long-lasting wounds. We end up going through our lives carrying baggage that we don’t even know we have! Many times, I’ve found myself wondering why I felt so repulsed by aspects of myself and why I felt so strongly that they needed to be locked away forever. I couldn’t allow myself or others to see my truest self, my whole self, out of fear. I was scared of being rejected, shamed, humiliated by the people around me. I was scared of hurting other people by being myself and of being hurt by others. That’s no way to live, is it? When we tell ourselves that aspects of ourselves aren’t good enough, we end up going through life devaluing ourself. We’ve broken our own trust by rejecting ourselves, we’ve told ourselves that we aren’t good enough or worthy of love. In shadow work, you’re called to go inward and unpack everything that we’ve kept hidden for years and sometimes even decades.
Bring the parts of yourself that you’ve repressed to the surface and nourish them with love, allow yourself to see that ALL OF YOU is deserving of love and support. For you, that could mean unlearning your unhealthy beliefs about food or eating, allowing yourself to be emotional around the people you love (despite how much you were told that you were too emotional, a crybaby, too sensitive in the past), allowing yourself to relax without feeling guilty about not being productive because you recognize your needs (even though you feel your sense of worth is tied to being productive at the cost of your own health).
  • Common misconceptions about shadow work?
Shadow work is evil or bad, the shadow is evil or bad
The purpose of shadow work is healing through working with your subconscious to release repressed aspects of yourself and heal from painful, traumatic experiences. Your shadow side is simply your unconscious and to believe that it’s bad is to believe that you are bad. It’s merely the part of yourself that you aren’t aware of consciously and shouldn’t be feared.
Certain emotions are “bad”
When you let go of the idea that emotions are either good or bad, you’ll allow yourself to just be and stop putting so much pressure on yourself to feel “good” all of the time. Happiness isn’t a constant state of being so stop expecting to be all of the time, we have a range of emotions for a reason so stop being ashamed of them. Your feelings are natural and if you feel like they’re out of control and something to be ashamed of, there is nothing wrong with that! It’s okay to feel like your emotions are controlling you because that isn’t permanent. Your feelings aren’t permanent and are completely manageable with proper guidance! The reason you feel like your emotions are controlling you is because you probably don’t have the knowledge to cope with them in an effective and healthy way. It’s helpful to sit with your emotions alone and look at them objectively without placing any judgement on them, this will help you calm down and assess your feelings. From there, you can identify what you need to relax and recover as well as acknowledge to yourself that your feelings are natural. When you stop categorizing your emotions as bad, they’re no longer shameful to experience and therefore you can see with better clarity how to cope with them and move on.
I’ve already released it so…
  • Why am I still upset?
  • Why does it still keep popping up in my head?
  • Why haven’t I moved on?
  • Why am I not making progress?
With the rise of self development and spirituality, I find that more and more people are rushing to complete their healing. Healing is a continuous, life-long cycle and not a destination. Putting the pressure on yourself to reach the place of ultimate healing is not only toxic, but it impedes your ability to actually heal anything. Healing is about love, compassion, and patience and it’s not going to happen according to a timeline. Allow yourself the time to experience your emotions, see them objectively, forgive yourself and others and move on without the pressure of expectations.
Another reason that you could be experiencing this is that despite the work you think you’ve done, it hasn’t been sufficient. I’ve found that a lot of journal prompts provided online are surface level at best and can be more pacifying than revealing. If you’re not feeling anything while doing your inner work, you’re not doing it correctly. Ultimately, this is about uncovering what makes us UNCOMFORTABLE and moving through those feelings. When you allow yourself to experience the sadness, hurt, anger, and/or frustration than you’re telling yourself that these feelings are okay and don’t need to be suppressed. The reality is that no matter what you’re feeling, you are allowed to experience those emotions and it’s only human! Unfortunately, many people associate lower vibrational emotions as bad, but this is a huge misconception! Telling yourself that anger, sadness, etc. are “bad” implies that you shouldn’t experience these emotions and that you have to get rid of them which is not only wrong, but unhealthy. There is no right or wrong emotions so don’t buy into the belief that you should feel a certain way, simply allow yourself to be and you’ll find that it’s much easier to navigate your emotions and needs. The only way to make it to the other side is by wading through the water, be patient and know that you’re feeling exactly what you should be. When you stop censoring yourself, you’ll discover a newfound sense of freedom and wholeness.
If you find yourself circling back to certain topics, for example, your ex-boyfriend than perhaps there are triggers in your environment that remind you of the situation, you have more that needs to be addressed that you may not have been ready for or aware of previously (hence why shadow work is a practice that is ongoing), or they’re representative of a deeper issue that you’re repressing. Whatever the cause is, the same methods as earlier will apply and can be discerned through your own intuition.
  • What are some basic journal prompts that I can do?
  • What feelings come up when you think of ____?
  • How did that experience make you feel emotionally? How did it make you feel about yourself? How did it make you feel about the other person or people?
  • Write a letter to yourself, your inner child, the people who’ve hurt you, and the people you’ve hurt. Express how you feel honestly, without holding back and then forgive yourself and the other person.
  • If you could say anything to yourself or another person for closure, what would it be?
  • How have these situations and experiences impacted your mental health? How have they affected your belief system about yourself, other people, and the world?
  • What about yourself are you ashamed of? What about yourself are you embarrassed of? What about yourself makes you angry? What do you regret? Why do you feel this way about yourself and where do these feelings stem from?
  • What makes you feel most alone? What makes you feel most loved? How can you incorporate that knowledge into your life to make it better?
  • What’s the most hurtful thing someone has said or done to you? Why did it hurt you so much? How does it still affect you now? How can you heal from it and allow yourself to move on?
  • What do you need to forgive yourself for? What do you need to forgive others for?
  • Where do you feel you lack security in your life? Why? How does this impact your life and your relationships?
This is a list of generic prompts for you to start with, but feel free to message me if you need help with more specific topics or I can make another post altogether for journal prompts.

8 REAL Reasons Your Magic Fails and How to Fix It

What happens when your magic frustratingly doesn’t work? You put your intention out there, you gathered the ingredients, you timed it right, and then you performed the ritual. And then you waited. Nothing happened. OR the opposite of what you wanted was the result. There could be many reasons, but we teach you the 8 main reasons your magic fails PLUS how to fix it below!

1. No Follow-Through

Something I’ve seen a LOT in the online magical community is people who perform rituals, cast spells, and then wait for their intention to manifest. And wait. And wait. Then they ask if they can do the same magic again expecting the initial intended result. My question is – have you followed through with fueling your magic in the PHYSICAL realm? What I mean by this is – you can perform a new job ritual but if you don’t follow it up with footwork like applying to jobs, networking, etc. this is a reason your magic fails. Intention and energy in the spiritual realm must be mirrored with intention and energy in the physical realm. As above, so below.

2. Not Enough Energy Raised

This kind of goes along with number one, but sometimes not enough energy is raised during the ritual process. For example, how many times (honestly) have you made a wish and blown out the birthday candles and the wish ACTUALLY come true? Yes, there’s energy with the thought in your mind then the action of blowing out the flame, but is that enough to set into a motion a big wish? Learn how to fix this problem in the last section

3. You Second-Guess Yourself

Not knowing what you truly want and casting a spell or performing a ritual for your intention is a great way to have nothing happen. Or to have your magic do something different than you imagined. Make sure you know what you want before making magic to acquire it. If you think you’ll second-guess yourself, don’t do the ritual or cast the spell.

4. Magical Recklessness

It’s the new thing that everyone says. “It doesn’t matter as long as the intention is there.” Sorry, I hate to break it to you. But magic is more than that. Sure, intention is HUGE. But if you’re wanting to manifest real results, you’ll probably be calling on help from allies: gods and goddesses, ancestors, guides, angels, and/or energy from plants, crystals and the elements. Each have their own consciousness and energetic vibrations. Always acknowledge and understand the energies you plan to work with to make your magic. Don’t call on two goddesses from two different pantheons during a love ritual if you don’t know them intimately. Research the supplies and tools you plan to use.

Magical recklessness may make your magic go awry in many ways. Not to mention it can sometimes be physically dangerous – i.e. you ingest a plant that may be toxic or interact with a medication you’re taking. Or you didn’t research how to safely use charcoal disks and loose incense and start a fire! Do your due diligence, folks.

5. Attracting the Wrong Energy

The fact of the matter is this – there are entities out there that are attracted to magic. It’s like a bright light and they’re the moths. Don’t let those moths get into your sacred space. For this reason, I always remind people cleansing, sealing, and warding practices should be done on a regular basis. If you’re making magic and not cleansing before and sometimes after, you may attract the wrong kind of energies and they can mess with your magical results! It can get messy.

6. Not Understanding the WHY

This reason your magic fails goes hand-in-hand with being magically mindful (and not reckless) – understand the WHY behind your magical rituals, charms, etc. Why are you taking this ritual bath? Why are you smudging the house? How do these herbs work to open your third eye? Understanding the WHY is CRUCIAL to magical success and manifestation. Always question things – always question yourself!

7. Stuck in a Negative Mindset

If you’re making magic but you’re a negative person, and you’re expecting positive results, you’re probably going to be disappointed. Shocker, right? What we think becomes reality. If you’re constantly living in a state of fear, anxiety, depression, etc. you’re blocking your own magic! Fear disconnects us from the divine – from the universal energy that we tap into when we make magic. When we make magic and are overall a positive, forward thinker, we are connected to the divine and allow energy to flow freely. Therefore, manifestation baby!

8. It’s Just Not the Time

The last reason your magic fails may be a bit disappointing, but it’s true nevertheless. Sometimes you can do all the magical things right and still see no results or different results than you expected. It doesn’t matter if you did everything perfectly, the magic doesn’t work. This is because its just not the time for you to have that expensive car or move to a new state. The universe, your guides, your gods and ancestors, etc. all look out for you. And sometimes what you WANT to happen isn’t what’s BEST for your growth. So…MAGIC BLOCKED.

How to Fix Your Failed Magic

Addressing each reason for magic failing, here’s how to fix the problems:

No Follow Through: when you do something that sets your intention in motion in the spiritual you should feed or fuel your magic in the physical. Looking for a new lover? Put yourself out there! Go to social events, sign up for those dating sites, etc. Don’t be lazy, y’all!

Not Enough Energy Raised: just saying a chant over a candle and letting it burn might not be enough energy to manifest your intentions. Raise more energy by chanting over and over, by feeling the energy in you and around you and channeling that into your ritual. Dancing, singing, praying, and visualization are all great ways to raise energy for magical purposes. Then channel and release it!

You Second Guess Yourself: here’s how to fix this problem. Know what you want and why you want it, clearly. Then once you’ve made the magic, don’t second guess it. If you second guess yourself, maybe you shouldn’t have made the magic to begin with.

Magical Recklessness: there’s been many times I’ve intuitively put herbs and stones together for a ritual without looking up every single herb’s “properties” and the spell has worked. But this is also because I’ve already worked with these herbs and stones and understand their core vibrations. If you have no clue what an herb is used for or its energy, do your research first. The same goes with invoking gods and spirits – research and develop a relationship with those deities before invoking them into your inner circle. Just a little time and effort goes a long way magically!

Attracted the wrong energy: this is why it’s so important to set up a regular magical maintenance routine for protection! Magical maintenance should be done monthly including: a full house cleansing, self cleansing, sealing of thresholds, and warding (warding can be done every 3 months). When you make magic, ritual or spells, you should cleanse before the ritual and set up some form of magical protection (shield, cast a circle, call in your guides, something!) Otherwise you run the risk of letting the wrong spirits in.

Not understanding the WHY: if you don’t understand why you’re doing something, why do it? Just because a book or someone told you to do it this way? That’s a sure-fire way to miss an important aspect of magic. Always ask why.

Stuck in a negative mindset: this seems like a difficult one to break through, but it’s actually quite simple. Change the way you think. What you think, you create and become. Recognize when you’re having a negative thought and redirect your mind to something positive. Being stuck in a negative mindset will negatively affect your magic and your life! Also, meditation, exercise, sleep, and eating well help break out of negative mindsets.

It’s just not the time: recognize it might not be the right time for you to have what you are asking for. The universe has other plans. Try again later!

A quick list of some ideas for ways to incorporate supporting BLM into your craft! You’ll notice all of these have one key ingrediant; DO SOMETHING IN THE MUNDANE! All the witchcraft in the world wont fix this alone. We must work in any way that we can to take action in the physical world to combat injustice in all its forms and use magic to supplament, not replace this action.

For those of us who aren’t cut out for the frontlines:

1. Build a ritual around donating to a support fund. This might look like blessing the money you plan to send with petitions for safety and protection. You might do a money abundance spell so that the money you send begets more money sent by others. Maybe you petition any deities you work with to protect protesters and donate the money in your deity’s honor.

2. Research solutuons to get residue from tear gas and mace off of someone’s skin and use kitchen witchery to weave magic into making that solution. Then donate that shit to protesters near you. From what I’ve read, milk soothes the burn (only on skin) and regular soapy water will help remove the residue but please do your own research. You could bless the milk, saline, soap, water, whatever and make mixtures to give out to protesters and protest medics. Maybe using moon water in the solution to bring love and light into the lives of those the spray has to be used on.

3. Use knot magic to give an extra boost while sewing masks for protesters! With COVID-19 still very much impacting people around the world it’s important for us to do everything we can to minimize the spread during protests. Consider using a glamour on a mask you’re making to make someone’s words more persuasive. Maybe put knots in the stitching to help a protester hold onto their courage to speak out or which helps them come closer together with the commonity they are protesting with.

4. Support black witches! Buy tarot readings and spell ingredients. Promote their shops and work, listen to their voices, donate to their causes.

On the frontlines:

1. Put sigils into your protest signs or under your clothes to bring you courage, protection, and influence. You might also cleanse goggles or an umbrella you take to shield you from mace. Sigils on boxes of bandaging and petitions to deities for healing and guidance are also possibilities.

2. Ward your home and offer it as a safe escape for protesters who have been trapped outside (more and more we are seeing police preventing people from leaving before curfew then arresting and attacking protesters who are now suddenly violating curfew). Be aware that the police will almost definitely attempt to come to your home to arrest the protesters and read up on your rights.

3. Make showering off and wound care part of a ritual when returning home from the protest. This will allow you to care for your mental health and physical health and cleanse yourself of the intense energy that comes with protesting knowing you are in danger.

Take care of yourselves in these times. The world is trying to change and growth on this scale is necessarily painful. Taking care of yourself *is* a way to take care of others. You cannot pour from an empty cup nor get someone to the hospital in an ambulance with only two weels.

Love and Light 🌸💕

Sorry I am gonna keep yelling about this cause I am worried with how many witches want to channel this eclipse’s energy towards the BLM’s movements way.

I feel like most things are done with good intentions, but like blackout tuesday, so many people wanted to post a black square in solidarity with BLM but instead ended up silencing their platform by overflooding their tag with black squares. I don’t want something like that to happen with this energy on a worse scale.

The eclipse is not powerful in a way like a supermoon, it’s a force of undoing. Think of it like the tower card. You should focus eclipse energy on the police force, or on trump’s administration to undo their structures of power. Please do not send that energy towards BLM. Instead try to use it to break down the barriers around them to allow them to advance. The Eclipse energy is not good for protection spells. It’s perfect for destruction though.

Please let other witches know

Use your craft to help the protesters

Now normally, I don’t make big posts or have calls-to-action. I’m supportive of the ones I see, and share posts on my social media’s, but don’t often make my own posts about them. But this is too big for any of us to remain silent about. The murder of George Floyd is yet another example of the society we’re living in. It’s one where marginalized groups are constantly attacked and subdued by the actions of the ruling (rich, white) class. We can’t just sit by and let this continue. BLACK LIVES MATTER and to not speak out or act when something so heinous is happening in front of our eyes cannot continue. Want to help the protesters, but can’t march or donate? Use the skills you’ve learned to make a change.

Cast protection and prosperity spells for the protesters:

If you’re able to cast spells, use what you’ve learned to protect the protesters from the violent tactics of the police. Give the protesters the strength and reassurance they need to continue the fight. Help them in gathering the courage needed to face such horrible backlash. Protection is one of the best ways to help if you’re hesitant about directing your spells towards the violent police forces. Let your spells be felt in some way rather than not acting at all.

Bind the police to prevent them from causing more harm:

This one is something many of us can do and if you’re against cursing then this can be a way for you to help even further. Binding the police who are attacking protesters can help protect them even more. Stopping them before violence starts or continues will be incredibly helpful for the protesters who are marching in the streets. It’s been seen that in many instances during these protests, police officers have been the ones instigating violence or harassing protesters to the point where they have no other choice but to react in a way police categorize as violent. Don’t let them do this. Bind their actions to where they can’t continue the violence we’ve been seeing.

Cast curses and hexes directed at police attacking the protesters and causing them serious harm:

Now I’m pro-cursing, but I make sure I have a clear target in my mind whose face I can clearly see. It’s important to also get a name of the target of your curse if you can. This makes it so curses can’t rebound somewhere else or harm the people trying to make a change. Make your target feel the negativity their actions are causing. Make them realize the hate they are causing and the grief they are responsible for. Demoralize them and give them repercussions for attacking protesters

Create sigils that you can share with your friends to family to protect them if they are protesting:

Protective sigils made by you with the intent to help the people around you are a great way to have your work out in the protest. They can help those around the person carrying the sigil and spread the intent of the sigil throughout the protest. You can also create a sigil to do the same thing and burn it or dispose of it in a way which destroys it to send your intent out if someone can not carry it in a protest.

Work with your gods and goddesses to protect the people marching:

Pray to the deities you work with, especially the ones who are associated with protection. In the Norse pantheon, these can be deities such as Thor (especially), Tyr, Freyja, and Odin (among others). Look into the pantheons you work with and the deities you know to see if you can ask them to give their blessings to the protesters. Always be respectful when you’re doing this and give them offerings if that’s how you honor you deities or dedicate some actions to them as thanks for their help.

As people who are part of marginalized communities, it is our duty to support these protests and bring about the change that is so desperately needed. We need to stand with our brothers and sisters to fight against the brutality that is so prevalent in so many areas of the world. Even if you don’t identify as part of a marginalized community, not speaking out against the brutality happening is the same as supporting its continuation. We need to do what we can. Add ways to help the movement that I haven’t mentioned. BLACK LIVES MATTER

And guys. This Friday (June 5th) will be a full moon, lunar eclipse, in Sagittarius. This benefits us HUGELY. We often think of the sign Sagittarius as being funny and adventure loving, but it’s also greatly focused on freedom, law, justice, the truth, etc. This placement combined with the super charged energy of the full moon/lunar eclipse makes it the perfect time to cast spells regarding what’s going on in the world right now.

SPELL TO PURIFY A PLACE

SPELL REQUIRED:

  • Any pot.
  • Water.
  • Coconut milk.
  • Extra virgin olive oil.
  • An olive branch.
  • Four white candles.

SPELL:

Add the water, coconut milk and extra virgin olive oil in equal parts to the pan.

With the olive branch, mix the contents of the pot by reciting this magic formula ten times:

“He founded the earth on its foundations: it will never waver. You covered it with the ocean like a garment; above the mountains stood the waters. You send spring waters into the valleys to flow through the mountains. Above, the birds of the sky live and sing among the branches. From your homes you water the mountains, and with the fruit of your works the earth is satisfied. You grow grass for livestock and plants that man grows to draw food from the earth. “

With the olive branch sprinkle a little of the contents of the pot towards the four cardinal points (in this order: East, South, West and North) ten times.

Place the four white candles in the four cardinal points and light them starting from the one facing east.

Say these magical words forty times:

“Purify this earth. Free her from evil. Apo pantos kakodaimonos! ”

Let the candles burn out.

Self Love Bath

It’s important to remember that you are loved. By the most important person there is: you, of course! If you need a little help with the loving-yourself part, this bath will definitely do the trick.

  • 2 Parts Epsom Salts
  • 1 Part Himalayan Pink Salt
  • 3 Drops Lavender Essential Oil
  • 1 Scoop of Coconut Oil
  • Optional: A handful or lavender buds or pink rose petals

Draw your bath at the temperate you like best. Epsom salts will help relax your muscles while the coconut oil softens your skin. Let the aromatherapeutic benefits of lavender lighten you, and the pastel pink himalayan salt will hold in warmth and happiness. What can I say? You’re lovable!
