okay so here is my very sad millard headcanon
contains: self harm mention
So, Millard is invisible. Completely invisible. Yet, the only thing not invisible for him is his blood. So what if before Millard went to live with Miss Peregrine, when he was turning invisible (or maybe already invisible) he discovered this. It is pretty much stated that Millard sometimes feels insecure about his invisibility and there are/used to be days that depressed him greatly. What if because of this depression and his discovery that his blood is not invisible like the rest of him, he leaned towards self harm. That way he can see his own blood. That way he can see a part of himself again.
