i have a harry potter theory.
every “main” character is lgbtq+.
now i know a lot of us already headcanon characters in this way and wish the series was actually written that way. and i know you’re probably thinking, “that’s too many! there’s no way that every main character is part of the community.”
well, based on the fact that there were about 1000 students enrolled in hogwarts, and the fact that gay people tend to form friendships and have multiple queer people in their groups, this would honestly not be implausible.
there were maybe 15-20 main character students. so it’s completely possible if you compare that to the other, larger amount of students. plus any adults/teachers/parents you may headcanon as queer.

Molly: No, why the fuck would I pick you two?
Ron: Do you ever wonder if you’re the bad guy in someone else’s story?

look we got really fuckin screwed with the cursed child thing and then fantastic beasts imo, like I do like the fantastic beasts series but we have been waiting for more marauders content for decades now. so I’ve decided that fuck it, there’s no reason we can’t create it ourselves. we’ve been doing a hell of a job so far on fanfics and headcanons and fanart and every other form of media; why not the full seven book series we deserve?
at this point, it might be a fair judgement that the fandom has done more to build upon the world of the marauders and their relationships than the original series laid the grounds for. more canon content has been produced by rowling since then, but I believe a lot of our imaginings have been shaped by the many ideas that we as a community have come up with. that’s why I’d like to involve the entire hp community in creating this series (essentially crowdsourcing creativity/ideas). seven books for the marauders prequel story is a lot of ground to cover, and while I have a few ideas, I want the final product to truly reflect all the love and originality we’ve been pouring into this series for years.
Remus: I’ll have the salad; no nuts, please.

Sirius: It didn’t say it had nuts.
Remus: I’m allergic, so I tell them just to be safe.
Sirius: That makes sense.
Waiter: And for you?
Sirius: Steak; no bees, please.

Lucius: I’m old.

Ron: Really? Fred and George are constantly mocking you, Draco just threatened to kill you, and everyone is still questioning why you’re here in the first place.

in light of the disgusting and saddening comments made by JKR, would anyone like to hear about my harry potter lgbtq+ headcanons?
for those who commented, here ya go! even though JKR made hogwarts the straightest place on earth, here are my personal rewrites to the story.
- harry is bisexual, no question about it
- ginny is also bisexual, and she and luna had a brief relationship in their 4th year
- i have a lot of headcanons about luna’s sexuality. but first and foremost, i love the idea of her being asexual and panromantic.
(but i also like a luna who is pansexual and demiromantic?)- seamus is gay, and ofc i ship deamus
- dean, i headcanon as either gay or bisexual
- tonks is definitely some kinda genderfluid. maybe nonbinary or a demigirl?
- remus is another iconic bisexual. a bicon, if you will. and yeah, while wolfstar is one of my OTPs, i still love remadora. so leave them be, pls and thx.
- draco is for sure a raging (but closeted) gay
- i headcanon sirius as either gay or queer. but i also feel like he’d be the dude to reject labels and just be fluid.
- i like the idea of lavender brown as a lesbian
- i mainly am fine with neville’s canonical straightness. but maybe he’s actually on the graysexual spectrum? either way, i lomve my sweet plant man.
- charlie is our lovable aro/ace
- i don’t mind ron and hermione as they are, but maybe they’d be in a polyamorous relationship!
