“…I mean, that’s absolutely fair.” Raziel chuckled, taking a seat. “Would you say no to some alcohol I may have gotten Gabriel to give me?” It was pagan, would actually do some proper damage to them. He produced a flask, offering it to Raphael.
“You’re quickly rising the ranks to favorite sibling, Raziel.” Raphael laughed, taking the flask. “We’ll have to see how this compares to Hell-brews. I’ve got a supplier.” Definitely not Heaven sanctioned behavior, but that didn’t mean much these days.
“Makes plenty of sense.” He smiled at her still, canting his head to the side. It still blew his mind a little that Raphael had actually had a kid. Seemed like he wouldn’t be so keen on breaking those kinds of rules. He liked it.
“Pleasure’s all mine, kiddo. I like bein’ an uncle. Don’t get to be all that often in this family.”
“Yeah, what with ‘nephilim are abominations’ mindset, it’s astonishing that more of us don’t exist.” Michaela snickered. She liked this uncle, he was so different from her father.
“Mom says I’m the best thing to have come from Dad’s existential crisis. I tend to agree.”
“Not exactly. I uh - I was tortured by Asmodeus for a few years. ‘S why my grace is so low as I’m sure you can tell, Raph.” He said quietly, shifting closer to embrace his older brother. “I missed you.”
“Tell me he’s already dead.” There was a brief crackle and the smell of ozone as Raphael reigned in his temper, opting to hug his brother close instead. “And allow me to heal you. You’re in no state to do things.”

Gabriel felt him before he saw him. He was on Earth, tying up some loose ends before he headed back to Heaven to take a crack a leading it. When he looked up at his brother, his smile was tired and quiet - a shadow of the bright smiles he’d have once given the older archangel.
“It has been quite some time, brother.”
It had been impossible to resist joining Gabriel when he felt his brother’s presence - too long since they’d actually seen each other. Far too long, if the state he was in was any indicator. Tired and quiet was not quite the Gabriel he remembered.
“Indeed. Since before the attempted apocalypse, even. How- Are you well?”
“That’s pretty normal.” He smiled. “My kids are…very old now. But they were very mature very quickly. I’m Gabriel, by the way - your Uncle.”
“I thought it might be something like that. You feel... similar to him, but also different. Does that make sense?” She smiled back. “Nice to meet you, Uncle Gabe.”
