Hello all. We will be making an update to the PDFs of our zine. An inconvenient event happened, and we want to be fair to everyone. We have discovered that of the art pieces in out zine was traced from another artist. Unfortunately we cannot do anything with the printed zines anymore. This happened after we printed our zines.

We expect our chosen artists/writers to create original work from them. We will not tolerate stolen/traced artwork. I have spoken with the mod team and we have already made our decision on what to do with this.

We apologize to the participants, public, and artists affected. An email will go to all participants soon.

Regarding Recent Changes to Litmag Content:

Dear purchasers and potential buyers:

You may have noticed that you are no longer able to access the page to purchase the first issue of Shall We Read. This is because we are temporarily pulling the issue in light of recent notifications that one of our contributors for the first issue has been tracing other fandom artists’ art. While their work for the Litmag has not been definitively marked as stolen, we still felt that it was best that we parted ways with that contributor and have done so. They are no longer a participant, and we are working on replacing their art from the issue. 

We take plagiarism very seriously in this publication, and will not condone it from future contributors. This contributor’s share will be donated to charity, or —if we are able to establish a link between their piece and the work of another fandom artist — offered to the original artist. Please bear with us in the next two weeks as we redo the issue and accompanying graphics. Once we have published the re-issue, if you have already bought a copy of Issue One you will be able to access the re-issue without needing to make a second purchase.
