  1. All mediums are welcomed: art, edits, fics, gifs, cosplays, AMVs… whatever you want to do. All we ask is that the submissions be respectful of the characters and the participants alike!

If you are unsure of whether something counts, shoot me a DM or send an ask to this blog!

2. Please note, there will be no discourse tolerated here.

We will reblog all submissions regardless of ship. That being said, do not start any ship wars in the comments. No hate will be tolerated; same goes for whitewashing or other racially insensitive works.

3. NSFW is fine as long as it’s tagged accordingly. Use the tag #spicy atla polyam week (Tumblr doesn't like the nsfw tag anymore).

4. All visual works must have an image description. If you have difficulty with this, please contact us (DMs to our personal blogs are fine) and we will be happy to provide you with resources!

In addition, please do not put your IDs in small font / italics / under a read more.

If a description is in a reblog and not the original post, or hidden beneath a read more, we will not accept it. Audio such as videos must also include a transcript.

5. Please tag potential triggers, such as violence, gore, death, and other sensitive topics.

All fanfics have to be rated and include archive warnings or “no archive warnings apply” (so no works tagged “author chose not to use archive warnings.”)

6. Threesomes/foursomes, etc. should at the very least include an allusion to a discussion of consent, polyamory boundaries, etc.

7. If you post fanfic on tumblr, please make sure to add a read more!

8. If you miss a day, feel free to post it on any of the other days, or up until the 30th of June.

a Jet/Sokka/Suki/Zuko fanfiction

written for @atla-polyam-week Day 2: Living Together

"Psssst! Sokka, Suki! Get up!"
Sokka whines as Zuko's husky whisper pulls him from his sleep. He reaches one hand out to bat away his housemate, pulls a pillow over his head with the other. His alarm hasn't gone off yet which means it's far too early to be awake.
"Zu?" Suki says, her voice hoarse with sleep. She shifts in her spot on Sokka's left, knocking the pillow off Sokka's head with her flailing limbs. "What's happening? The kids…?"
"Oh, no, they're fine," Zuko placates before Suki can go down one of her worried rabbit holes. "Everyone's fine, it's just… Pakku's early."

HOWZAAAAAT?!

A Sokka/Suki/Zuko Cricket AU (with Gaytimes, and a glossary of terms)

written for @atla-polyam-week day 6: modern AU.

Zuko watches the game through his hands. There's only two overs to go, and his team needs thirteen more runs to win. It's not an impossible feat but they're eight wickets down after a disastrous collapse of their top order. Their hopes rest solely on Jin - in at fifth and somehow still at the crease - but she’s likely to run out of balls and partners before she can pull off a win. The new Team Avatar fast bowler - Zuko is fairly sure he heard Haru call him Aang - rushes in, bowling hard and fast at Chan. Aang's fast balls are terrifying but Chan does well, connecting his bat with the ball. It goes up high, and Zuko is terrified that Chan will be caught out, but it falls neatly into the space between Haru and Katara instead, and bounces over the boundary for a four.

It might have taken me a while, might have become 16k as opposed to the 2k I originally planned, but finally finished my final fic for @atla-polyam-week. This fic fits a lot of prompts but the main one I was going for was kid fic, in that there is a kid and they more or less all become parents.

Featuring old men before they get old and wise and mainly just fail to properly communicate.

Summary:

Piandao has loved Jeong Jeong and Iroh for most of his life, and can hardly imagine any other life. He loves them, romantically, and they love him, even if it’s not the same way. There’s no reason for that to change nor does Piandao expect it to. He’s made his peace.
And yet, everything changes, whether you want it to or not. Sometimes it even changes for the better.

The First Day of the Rest of Your Life

a Sokka/Suki/Zuko fanfic set in the zombie apocalypse

written for @atla-polyam-week day two: post canon

Sokka wakes with a groan.
His head feels fuzzy and he's not quite sure where he is. The last thing he can remember clearly is going on that supply run to Lake Logai with Suki and Zuko but he can't remember getting back home. He has a vague recollection of getting bit by a walker and Suki preparing to chop off his leg, but he also vaguely remembers Yue turning into a walker and his mother sinking her teeth into his father's neck and Zuko confessing his love for him so Sokka's not really sure if he can trust his memory.

A Bato/Hakoda/Kya Pokémon AU

for @atla-polyam-week Day 7 - Free Day

The South Pole is cold.
Theoretically, Bato has always known this. His father and mother have told him enough stories about growing up in the tundra down south to know exactly how cold it can get down at the Pole. Still, as Bato disembarks from the Kyoshi Island Ferry into the freshly fallen snow, he can't help but feel utterly unprepared by how cold, how white, and how small South Pole Capital City really is. He doesn't know how his team of Grass and Earth type Pokémon will survive in weather like this. He'll have to buy more blankets and warming pads before he even thinks about letting them out of their Poké Balls.

Day Six

@atla-polyam-week kid fic OR modern au  Suki/Toph/Katara kids modern.  Toph being stubborn about not needing any help with her kids, Katara being overwhelmed at so many.  Suki decides they should all move in together to share the workload.  Affections come slowly.

Imagine 25-35 year olds Toph and Katara (and maybe Suki too, depending on your headcannons) each has their own kiddos but are no longer in relationships.  Everything is working out okay, but being the primary or only parent is difficult.  Suki has the idea that they should all move in together and coparent.  This would help them all ease their stress and it would give their kids the ability to play.  I think that Toph would resist at first, thinking that she shouldn’t need to ask for anyone’s help, before eventually realizing that she is lonely too.  From what I can tell of the SWT, communal living is somewhat expected, so I think Katara would be pretty on board.  

This would lead to so many great things.  The awkward adjustment time, venting about parenting struggles, falling in love with each other and their communal kiddos.  In addition, I think a fic set in the future when they were established as a household would be so freaking adorable.  It would also ease a lot of problems that we see in their kids in the LOK.  Toph doesn’t want to keep her kids on a leash?  Suki and Katara teach her what healthy boundary setting is.  Kya and Bumi feeling unfavored?  You know that a divorced Katara would 100% recognize and deal with that.

Day Five

@atla-polyam-week boundary discussion/ relationship negotiations

Toph/Aang/Katara

Aang and Katara are in an established relationship.  They are both very close with Toph, and over time they come to realize that they may be romantically attracted to her.  They talk it over together, and agree to tell Toph how they feel.

Toph, however, itsn’t always the most adept at navigating feelings, especially not cushy, vulnerable ones.  I think that she would immediately balk at this (imagine a modern AU where they talk with her in a coffee shop and she just shuts down).  

Aang and Katara would respect her wishes, and show her continually that things don’t have to change unless she wants them.  Problem is, she thinks she wants them.

So one day Toph, begrudgingly, finds the two of them and just says, “Okay.  Okay.  How are we going to do this?”

The Turtleduck Prince

A Sokka/Suki/Zuko fanfic inspired by The Swan Princess written for @atla-polyam-week day four: Arranged Marriage

One hour before his wedding to Crown Prince Sokka of the Southern Water Tribe, Prince Zuko looks into his bedroom mirror and sees a surprised turtleduck blinking back at him. This is surprising, dear reader, because Prince Zuko had been a handsome twenty-one year old human only moments before, dressed in the deep red and embroidered gold finery he's now laying in, getting ready for the worst day of his life.
This is where we first meet our Turtleduck Prince but it is not where this story begins. This story begins over seventy five years before either of our Princes, or their plucky and beautiful best friend, were even alive. You see, long ago the Four Nations lived in harmony.
But everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked

Day Four

for @atla-polyam-week chronic pain/ disability OR arranged marriage

Toph/Suki/Yue 

Toph’s disability has never bothered her, just people’s reactions to it.  She’s always believed that it isn’t a disability, just different.

But then she met Yue, and with Yue it was different.  For Yue, her disability was more … disabling.  And Toph just doesn’t understand.  She keeps wanting to twist it in her mind and make it work.  She wants to fix it for Yue.

But Toph isn’t great at feelings.  She keeps getting frustrated when Yue can’t push through, can’t just keep going.  Accidentally, she starts snapping at Yue, starts getting more restless when she spends time with her and Suki.

One day Suki just, has enough.  She tells Toph to take a walk and that she’ll meet her in a bit.  Suki looks at Yue, and tells her that she’s going to get to the bottom of this.
