Alex gives a nods and smiles. “You have a deal, mister.” When the portal appears she looks in amazement. It only expands when he steps through. It was a vivid scene. Pretty. Shiny. Her hands holds onto him so she can stay close to him.

“Do you live here by yourself?” An innocent question. Honest. Her curiosity always seemed to be present. How else would she know? It wasn’t meant to be rude if he took offense. “I don’t mean anything by it.. It’s gigantic. And pretty..” Her eyes light up looking back to the castle.

It kind of reminds her of her drawings she showed her mom. “If so.. No one should be alone. That’s not nice.” She could relate to such. But she did have her mom. But most of the time. When only Elijah was around. It was lonely. Scary at times..

She knows to never bother him. Always worried he might yell at her like when he fights with her mother.. A frown slowly forms on her lips.

When he lifts her in his arms she smiles at him. A magical place? She looks back for a moment towards the empty woods before hugging onto him. There would be no going back. Her mother. She thinks about her. Seeing memories of her playing with Alex. Her smiling. How she would tuck her in bed and tell her everything was okay. But its overshadowed by her dad. How he was so cold towards her.

Her head turns to look at him, leaning her head on his shoulder. "That would be nice, mister..." There was a slight twinge of heartbreak in her voice. But she stays strong. Just like mommy said she was.

"Thank you.. For helping me with my wish." She would finally have that warmth. The love she always wanted. Maybe she could draw more pictures for them. They would like them. At least she could only hope so.

"Do.. Do you like drawings? I can make you one. In return for my wish. I would like that instead of toys."

"My mommy is very smart. And pretty." She smiles at him. His confession makes her confused but it soon brightens when he says he has magic. The lollipop appearing out of nowhere makes her eyes widens. He really was magic.

For a moment she hesitated taking the candy. Her hand reaches out and takes the candy licking it gleefully. It tasted fantastic. "Thank you, mister.." Her eyes watches his hand slowly moving back to his ears. A small hand reaching out touching them gently in wonder.

Reaching back she holds onto his hand. "Mister.. Can you still grant my wish?.. A-And maybe mommy can be happy and not fight anymore? I don't like when she cries. She doesn't think I know she does when daddy isn't looking.."

Alex frowns. "She deserves to be happy.."

Are you lost little one?” Out of shadow his voice slips through the veil. How often he finds himself beyond the realm is less than most would assume. After all he is fearless on his throne. The toilings of mortals are of no consequence to him. This plane is not one he cares to visit if there is no need.

However there is a great spark of magic in the air tonight. Wishes still have merit. They hold weight beyond any other thing. Wishes are what fuels the world in which he resides.

Goblins feed on magic. It is their source of life and power. He wields more than any other gob before him. All royalty is blessed with such but he is also one to listen carefully. Humans make pitiful pleas at times. They want things they cannot have. He ignores those. This however is one small plea invoked from innocence.

He steps forward. This time he is visible from the shadows of surrounding condensed trees. Dressed quiet majestically for the forest, the mysterious man in blue smiles. His hair is neat save for the curl hanging loosely to his forehead. The gleam of sapphires rest in the silver crown atop his rich dark hair. Besides his dress the other obvious non-normality are the visible points of his ears.

His hand reaches out as he crouches. How young this one. A little babe lost. She reminds him of the child his sister bore. The same that died along with her.

The Goblin tilts his head. “Did you hurt yourself?” His fingers pat the doll’s head she holds close. “Such a pretty doll you have.” Very similar to the birth gift he had for his niece. Strange how this wish has brought him here, stranger still to be so close to his past grieving’s.

At first she was quiet. Her mom always told her not to talk to strangers. But.. Did it even matter anymore? "I-I'm okay.." Her voice quiet, soft. His clothes were strange. Very shiny for someone in the middle of nowhere. He looked like one of those people in her fairy tail books her mom would read her.

Her eyes light up when she sees his ears. They looked like those in the games she would play with her mom. Letting them shift down to her doll, a smile finally slips. "My mommy got it for me. She says.. It will protect me from bad stuff."

Soon enough it fades for a moment. "But daddy says.. Not to fill my head with those thoughts. To give me a realistic sense of protection. My daddy doesn't like me.." She thinks for a moment, remembering her letter. "Are you a genie?"

She looked back to her doll. "I.. If you are I only want one wish. I want a dad.. That would love me. I don't really want or need anything else.."

Her mom would probably be worried. But maybe she would find happiness too. Maybe her and and Elijah could find happiness. Oh what innocent thoughts..

They were fighting again. She knew what it was about. She always knew what it was about.. Alex peeks in through the crack in the door. Mom was always the one defending her but Dad.. He shrugs it off. Every time. Did he want her? The tears fill her eyes. He didn't love her.. She did everything to try and get his attention. Even drew for him. And every time he would just walk away..

Alex sniffles as she backs away from the door. Making her way back to her room. For a few moments she looks around her decorated room. She thinks back to when her mom helped her decorated it. It was really the best day she had in her life.

She moves her chair from her vanity and looks over at her drawings of her and her mom and dad.. The smiles Alex and her mom had while her dad.. A big frown. He always had that look. Has he ever smiled before?.. Alex wipes the tears from her eyes. Wishing.. Just wishing she had a dad that loved her..

Her hand moves taking a blank piece of paper and starts writing. Tears staining the paper as she wrote. Saying her goodbyes. Saying how much she loved her mom. How she hopes her dad will smile now that she would be gone.

She gets up from her chair and takes a small bag. Gathering a few toys and clothes.. She looks back at her room before closing the door behind her and sneaks out.

The woods at night were scary. More so than she thought.. She could hear the branches snapping around her. That fear drawing close as she gasped when it sounded closer. Her pace quickened as she started to run. Looking behind her to see what followed. That is when she crashes into someone and falls back. Her greenish blue, doe eyes look up at the figure. Trembling.. She holds her doll close to her body.

She felt him tense up. Fear? He feared liking her? Was she the problem. “I like you too. Mm.. I don’t want you to be afraid to like me. It should be a wonderful thing.” Something inside her screamed to push away. But she can’t. Inside her heart.. She didn’t want to.

There was something about him. Something she couldn’t ever refuse. “I like you a lot too, Callum.” Inching closer towards his body. Closing the space between them. A kiss. Soft. Gentle. Her first..

Something very pleasant. At least from my point of view.” His grin is playful but tempting. “Alex, my goddess.”

“Goddess?..” Her cheeks turned a slight shade of red. “You’re a charmer, aren’t you.” Taking a step forward, a hand rest against his chest. “Why are you trying so hard to get my attention?” Moving in closer her eyes searched his. Maybe for a second reason.

Long day. It was always a long day. The city may have been overrun with androids but there was still humans that stuck around. No matter what others had said. They came back picked up their lives and though some weren’t too keen. They left them alone. At least most did. Alex was just one to come back. Out of state. Wanting to help through the power of medicine. Mom wanted her to follow her footsteps but ultimately let her follow her own path. She was grateful. Top of her class. Beauty like her mother. Smart like her father.

She takes time though. She walks around the city park. Enjoying the small crisp air that surrounded it. Androids walking around freely. No commands. No masters. There was something inside Alex that made her heart grow warmer seeing it. It’s what they deserved. Freedom.
