think about clones being absolutely ENTHRALLED by totally normal everyday things that they never had on Kamino or encountered in their sliced media. none of them have ever seen a bouncy ball before and they lose their fucking shit over it. it’s mayhem in the barracks when someone gets ahold of a 20-pack of tiny bouncy balls. there are confiscations and several new legion-wide mandates. their jedi can’t stop laughing. — clones being fascinated and terrified by kitchen appliances bc all their food was pre made and handed to them on trays. kix has a deep distrust of toasters after one scared the shit out of him the first time he used it. clones who are afraid of bugs. clones who are OBSESSED with bugs and use up all their allotted comm storage space taking pictures of every single one they see. clones who have never seen a holo advertisement before and they trust and believe everything the advertiser says. clones who make their padawan learner tell them absolutely everything about “restaurants” and anxiously roleplay ordering food with each other before their first shore leave to make sure they get it perfect. they don’t all understand the assignment but they try. just THINK ABOUT CLONES BEING DEPRIVED OF NORMAL PEOPLE THINGS AND FINALLY HAVING A CHANCE TO EXPERIENCE IT ALL ONCE THEYRE SENT AWAY FROM KAMINO AND COPING WITH IT IN DIFFERENT WAYS

Dear Wishmonger, your writings are a gift and a comfort to so many. May I ask, for my own self, how would a reader with a Neurological chronic illness be cared for by the brothers? Symptoms that seem frightening, painful and unpredictable to the outside observer leaves one wishing for a safe place to land until well again.

Twins smile upon you, friend. I hope this finds you well.

Stunning sunset! This happens because of a phenomenon called Rayleigh scattering: cirrus clouds scatter the longer, red wavelengths of light and give the sky an orange or reddish hue | source

Well M`am, you said it 😈. What would Shriv would say/do if he wanted to go exclusive *evil horn dog laugh*.

Mn, yes. Good, good...

Shriv is a worrier by nature. He is also rather anxious from time to time. I see him as not being the one to admit his feelings first as he is afraid of rejection. This Duros would wait on you while his own emotions eat him away inside. The stronger and stronger his desire for you becomes, the worse his anxiety increases - especially if anyone else happens to show an interest in you.

Oh, he wants to lock you down. Maybe he wants to give you a "love bite," mark you, and show everyone you're his... But, he would never, ever draw blood on purpose. He's too much of a softie and a gentleman for that. He'd be mortified.

Instead, he flees the scene any time you come around. You're going to have to coax it out of him.

While he might be unwilling to share and in denial at first, and possibly even combative, in the end if you put enough pressure on him he spills the Bith beans, and once he starts talking he just can't stop.

"I ... I really like you, all right?! Like, REALLY like you. Some might call it-

I just can't stand the idea of you with someone else."

Maybe he self-deprecates during his confession, or has trouble looking you in the eye.

"I know I'm not much to look at, and my ... winning personality is even worse. Just ask anyone! Hells, I'm not even that funny!"

'Do I even have a selling point?'

"What I'm trying to say is ...

Oh, forget it."

Don't let him walk away! Pull him back to you! Otherwise, he might take this as a sign he's right, and that you wouldn't care to have anything more to do with him.

Although, once he understands you aren't going anywhere and want to be with him, he's the most loyal and caring partner there is, not to mention there isn't a day you won't go without him doing his best to make you laugh or cheer you up when you're feeling down.

Marry me, Shriv!!!

What I was taught growing up: Wild edible plants and animals were just so naturally abundant that the indigenous people of my area, namely western Washington state, didn't have to develop agriculture and could just easily forage/hunt for all their needs.

The first pebble in what would become a landslide: Native peoples practiced intentional fire, which kept the trees from growing over the camas praire.

The next: PNW native peoples intentionally planted and cultivated forest gardens, and we can still see the increase in biodiversity where these gardens were today.

The next: We have an oak prairie savanna ecosystem that was intentionally maintained via intentional fire (which they were banned from doing for like, 100 years and we're just now starting to do again), and this ecosystem is disappearing as Douglas firs spread, invasive species take over, and land is turned into European-style agricultural systems.

The Land Slide: Actually, the native peoples had a complex agricultural and food processing system that allowed them to meet all their needs throughout the year, including storing food for the long, wet, dark winter. They collected a wide variety of plant foods (along with the salmon, deer, and other animals they hunted), from seaweeds to roots to berries, and they also managed these food systems via not only burning, but pruning, weeding, planting, digging/tilling, selectively harvesting root crops so that smaller ones were left behind to grow and the biggest were left to reseed, and careful harvesting at particular times for each species that both ensured their perennial (!) crops would continue thriving and that harvest occurred at the best time for the best quality food. American settlers were willfully ignorant of the complex agricultural system, because being thus allowed them to claim the land wasn't being used. Native peoples were actively managing the ecosystem to produce their food, in a sustainable manner that increased biodiversity, thus benefiting not only themselves but other species as well.

So that's cool. If you want to read more, I suggest "Ancient Pathways, Ancestral Knowledge: Ethnobotany and Ecological Wisdom of Indigenous Peoples of Northwestern North America" by Nancy J. Turner

It's been ages since I've posted something original, apologies my peeps. And ages since I tried to make time to finish this, as much as a sketchdump could ever be finished. But oh boy working on this felt gooooood. A bit crowded but there was a stain on the paper and it had to be made into a sun. :D His Bad Batch attire is surprisingly difficult to draw...have to memorize it better because it's super sexy imho. Hope y'all are alright and well!

"Calculate your carbon footprint and use your yard to undo the damage you do ^_^" the term carbon footprint was invented by fossil fuel companies to shift the blame of climate change and environmental destruction from them onto people just trying to survive, stop falling for their propaganda

Plant native plants, learn how to turn your yard into a safe haven for animals facing the loss of their habitats, work with other people and organizations to revitalize local ecosystems. All of that is useful, all of it is good. Small steps are still important to someone and to something; the milkweed you plant in your garden isn't going to save your world, but it will save the worlds of the monarchs who pass by and have a safe place to lay their eggs.

But always remember that anything that shifts the blame of climate change onto you, as an individual living your life the best you can, is propaganda spread by companies tearing our planet apart for their own profit. "Carbon footprint" as a term was made by BP, the same company infamous for its devastating oil spills, to distract from their own crimes. Your "footprint" is a literal speck compared to what these companies do every single day.
