Hello! I've been a fan of your art and writing for a while, and I just reread the Ribbon Day fic (as someone who's ace it's one of my favorite fics ever T.T) and I was wondering where you go the idea of the Ribbon Day holiday?? I love the concept, but I couldn't find a reference to any similar holidays online so I was curious if was a local festival or something?? Thanks for your time!

Ribbon Day is an entirely fictional holiday — it was made up by @alinkbetweenportraits for the Legend of Zelda universe. Here's a link to their original post detailing the concept!
You can tell from the smell that I pulled that holiday straight out of my ass.
In all seriousness it’s based off of a handful of witchy shit I read about along with some folk beliefs from other cultures, one of them being heavily inspired by the phrase “tying the knot”.
Relationships are complex as hell though, especially in witchcraft when it comes to intent. So I figure having something that can be customized by the character (like the style of ribbon) while giving a general idea of intent can make for some interesting interaction. Plus I’m Demi so I get the feeling of feeling left out of a lot of fanfics. Like my dude, I wanna see some cute shit too. I’m ace not heartless.
I also just really wanted to gush about cute shit with @luciombre because she puts up with my bullshit.
I come back to read a comic I haven’t touched in five years only to see they killed the best character.
