Much better- This was the reaction she’d expected! Laughing, Sera spun in a small, tight, and slow circle, showing off the silk dress and far healthier figure. It was hard not to have changed; she’d been so pampered and spoiled in Sindria that staying the same underweight, poor girl with the torn dresses was impossible… Especially when she had a certain someone determined to see her spoiled, the big dork. “One in the same!”
A wide smile pulled at her lips once she stopped, and she reached out to gently push his finger down. As much as she loved him, she also knew telling him what’d happened since Balbadd would stun him senseless, and she didn’t want to risk him poking someone’s eye out. “I’m so sorry I didn’t leave a message before I left, but… There was no time,” she started, regret clear in her eyes with the confession. That was one thing that’d bothered her for years, never saying goodbye…
“I moved on to Sindria.” Her smile returned full-force, almost like she was happiest about that fact. Then again, how could she not be? Traveling to Sindria had brought her to her home, the one place she truly belonged. “Sin gave me citizenship once.. Once I realized it’s home, Ali. Sin and Sindria’s where I belong. You wouldn’t believe how wonderful it’s been!”
Right, she hadn’t told him what she meant by Sin, though she was sure he already knew. Finally pulling her hand away from his, the golden ring on her finger glinted in the light, and her smile both widened and softened. “By Sin I mean King Sinbad… My husband."
▮ ₪┆ Even with what little Sera had told him, Alibaba was already having a hard time coming to terms that this woman was still the same he’d met back in Balbadd a few years back. Well kept clothes and a healthy weight; she didn’t look anything like the scrawny, errand running street girl he could remembered from then! Still, he let Sera push his finger down from its point; blinking back a couple times for good measure before letting a light smile through.
“Guess that explains your new outfit, huh? You look so different, I didn’t even recognize you! You’ve really changed a lot!” Then again, with everything he’d been through in the past few years, he could probably say the same for anyone. But before Alibaba could mention that, something Sera had said next made him pause “...uh?”
H-Hold on just a minute, she’d done what!?
“Wait a sec—’your husband’!? You mean YOU actually MARRIED King Sinbad!?”
