Hey guys, just wanted to give a little update since I’ve been MIA for a while. I’ve been having a really tough time mental health-wise lately(for about a year now, tbh) and it’s gotten 100% out of my control these last few months so I’ve needed a break from tumblr. I’m still taking a break, but I did want to let my readers know that the next chapter of Paper Thin is about 75% done! And it’s looking like I’ve healed enough to maybe start writing again in the near future.

Can we just take a minute to acknowledge and appreciate fanfiction writers who are just so unbelievably on point with characterization.. and how they paint into reality beautiful and breathtaking moments that would put many published authors to shame! They do this for free because they love it and are passionate about the stories they wish to tell… and if that isn’t art at its finest and purest then I don’t know what is..

I'm blaming this episode on bad writing and I don't want to recognize it as canon. Raj was ooc and they're using magnus' wariness of shadowhunters to create a bamf moment out of nowhere. This is awful in so many ways. The race parallels they're meant to do fall short when it pits 2 moc against each other. There was a million other things they've could've written but unfortunately the writers whiteness got in the way. Raj didn't deserve this

Hey anon, yeah that’s how I see it too. I know shadowhunters are privileged and do often treat downworlders badly, but one of the reasons Izzy (usually) works is as a Poc actress she is the more enlightened shadowhunter. 

You know last time she messed up? Ep 13. Which had the same writer as this ep. So yeah, I’m happy blaming the writer!
