still don’t understand the attempt to gaslight black americans and other americans of color into thinking our views are narrow-minded, considering our unique experiences in a country built by oppression; some of us with ancestors who were brought here against their will, while others are descendants of people whose land have been stolen... much to think about but hope y’all are safe

allyship is using your voice/platform/privilege to educate others and spread awareness! black lives are being taken away by police brutality, it’s synonymous with white supremacy as the justice system in america is corrupt and has been from the start.

performative wokeness is speaking on behalf of black people, aligning your struggle with the black experience, and/or painting blm on your face with jeffree star cosmetics

seeing/hearing black lives being violently taken away is traumatizing as hell but it is so important to recognize what’s going on so the rebellion can turn into a revolution!

to dollcarnival’s ask, since I am native: When white people post cottagecore type content, especially if they reblog text posts about buying land & gardening on that land, etc, it REEKS of the same manifest destiny bullshit that their ancestors did. However, I feel that when you are black, i dont think you have the societal power to create that same “manifest destiny” type system for us natives. Especially if you just post plants & gardening (as my family gardens too & my dad was a cowboy!)
