We spent a long weekend at camp for Father’s Day and I got the SUP board out and went for a run (plus a couple bike rides)

My run was awesome and i had no weird shin/calf pain and I got a new best mile time on my garmin 😁 and I was really proud of my Sunday SUP board because the water wasn’t exactly calm and I stood up that whole time without falling and could have kept going except my feet were cramping up 😅 every part on the gps that looks sharp or jerky was me falling off in the first two 😬

A global running day miracle- I was able to run a whole mile without walking 😭 and I wasn’t even in pain at the end of the mile. It was wonderful. I filled expected to have to stop short. I followed it with a 2.1 mile walk to keep up my 5k streak (which is 5 days as of today)

Plus a screenshot of yesterday’s 5k walk 😊

This was a really nice weekend for walking. Im gonna see how many 5ks I can walk in June. I have a surplus of Office Ladies so I should be set with those 😄 I managed to do a little bit of running without pushing it and it did feel good to make my legs go a little faster.

Also I adore honeysuckle season and it’s such a delight to walk past them 😌

5K walks actually go really fast when you’re listening to Office Ladies 😅 it was a really nice morning walk, and it was really relaxing after a pretty argumentative morning between the kiddos.

Also there was a dragonfly that I almost stepped on 😬

1 mile of hoping to do some running followed by 2.1 mi of me accepting that it’s just not gonna happen today. My legs are making it clear to me that they wanna walk and not run. I don’t know what to do besides stick to walks and bike rides until my lower legs suck less 🤷🏼‍♀️

Tried out my first virtual 5k 😊 normally Memorial Day weekend means the 5k up at camp but it was obviously cancelled. So I started looking online for virtual options- now I Have a bunch of medals and bibs squirreled away thanks to some coupons and clearance races. I’ll do my next one on the date that my hometown 5k was supposed to happen. Hopefully I’ll be able to run more and get it quicker 😅

I’ve been dealing with this weird twinge in my calf/shin area but it’s been feeling a lot better so I’m hoping to get out to run more once the heat breaks 🤞🏻

Did some cardio in my kitchen and now I’m gonna be sanding away in my shed. I’ve gotta get these sanded and stained today so I can cut them tomorrow when I get my saw, so that I can put them together and we can bring them to camp for the dock this weekend 😶

This week’s running recap: I started out with Week 5 Day 2 of c25k and I apparently decided to not look at the rundown for that because my mind was blown when I looked down at the app and saw that I would be running for 8 minutes instead of the 5 I expected 😅 I then took an extra day to recover from that and my legs felt tired and slow for my run on Friday. today I went in expecting to have another slow mile but my legs decided they were happy to run and I set out with at least 1 mile, shoot for 1.25 and reach for 1.5 and I hit my reach for goal and I’m pumped 😄

my bil and sil are the best at cancelling at the last minute, always when I’ve finished spending an entire day scrubbing my house down for their visit 🤦🏼‍♀️

It’s been a long time since I bought an avocado and actually decided to eat it before it was bad 😬 somehow I cut it and it was ✨perfection

I made the decision to switch over from Fitbit to garmin this week 😬 I was tired of running without gps (my phone still doesn’t do that) so decided on the forerunner 235. And that meant I could run at the weird track down at the elementary school that isn’t quite a 1/4 mile 😅

If anybody noticesa bunch of notifications from me just ignore 😅 I’m easing back into tumblr and am trying to catch up
