What the HELL did they do to the White House website?

Okay we’re going through this bit by bit.

First of all, this is the first thing that pops up when you visit the website:

But wait, it gets worse.

Once you get in, you see that Trump’s inauguration takes up the entire main page. You know what? I’m fine with that. I mean it makes sense.

What I’m not fine with is this:

As of yesterday (I’m on the Wayback Machine), these are the issues that the Obama Administration listed, leading to pages which went into detail about these issues and what the Administration was doing about them.

Again, that’s from the Obama Administration.

This is the current Issues Tab under the Trump Administration:

No, I haven’t cropped it. That’s it. That’s the entire list. All of those are the issues that Trump’s Administration cares about.

The civil rights page? Gone. Climate change page? Gone. Health care page? Gone. Disabilities page? Gone. It’s all gone. Everything is gone.

They also completely took away all of the pages on Obama’s initiatives, all of the pages on internships and involvement in the White house, all of the pages on different ways to protest (other than the We The People petitions), and for some reason, they even took out most of the pages in the history section. The famous virtual tour? Gone. A detailed history about the architecture, the decor, even theee customs and traditions? Gone.

 But here’s the best part.

Most of the ‘Briefing’ section has been cleaned out as well and the tab for weekly addresses has been completely removed.

Well isn’t that just…disturbing?

It’s worth noting that this happens every presidency, the Obama administration’s whitehouse.gov will be archived and none of this was taken down by Clownstick himself. Not that it makes me feel ANY better about the next four years, but for once it’s not on DOFUS

So just for you, I spent the past half hour tediously searching through the Wayback Machine.

This was the page Obama had right after he took office after Bush:

Notice how, even though the website changed overnight, he still put in a huge list of issues including virtually every one listed on the website yesterday?

But wait, there’s more.

I went back and looked at how Bush’s page looked before the Obama Administration changed it. And guess what? Bush had an entire list of issues that resembled the ones listed on the website yesterday.

But wait!

Back when the Internet was new and the webpage was just a bunch of text, Clinton had an entire list of issues like the ones listed on the website yesterday.

So, no, this isn’t something that always happens. The website changes but the issues have always stayed the same and they’ve always been prominently displayed.

Until now.

People are acting like his team has not had literally the entire transition period to get his webpage together. They didn’t get this as a last-second assignment before the inauguration. There is absolutely no excuse for this. It’s either a complete and total disregard for these issues, or it’s a complete and utter failure to prepare. Both of those are unacceptable.

This Doonesbury abortion cartoon was originally written by Gary Trudeau in 2012, in response to a Texas law requiring women to have an ultrasound before an abortion. It was banned from many major newspapers, and they ran syndicated cartoons in its place.

Now seems like an appropriate time to bring these cartoons back, with the passing of Texas’ new law requiring the burial or cremation of miscarried or aborted fetal remains. I guess we’ll have to wait and see if Trudeau decides to write the sequel.

I’m LGBT+ myself and I would love more representation, but Dean’s confirmed sexuality is heterosexual.  I wouldn’t want them to change that for fanservicing a ship, an awful, frequently abusive ship at that.

So yeah, I’d stop watching because I don’t want to pander to that side of the fandom.

Plus, the show is about family, not romance, which is why Dean calls Castiel his brother.

The thing is, that’s the most impossible thing ever. Destiel is nothing. It doesn’t exist. It’s just overly imaginitave teenage girls that see what they want and say that ‘omg it will totally be canon’. When there’s literally. nothing. there. How do they even come up with scenes between them that can barely be called friendly and then turn it into romance (even the fighting abusive ones) is beyond me.

Ask a general viewer about the ship and trust me, he/she will look confused as hell. It’s only known on tumblr and some other social sites where shippers are. So no, the idea of it becoming canon is quite frankly, ridiculous.

Destiel doesn’t even exist, and therefore will never be canon…because Dean is straight, plus it have been told hundreds of times it’s fanon and Dean is straight . So even though that yes I would stop watching because romance is not what the show is about, I don’t have anything to worry about because it will never happen.

I 100% agree with @tishul, I didn’t even know that destiel was a thing until I joined tumblr three years ago and was shocked to see that some ‘fans’ thought that Dean and Cas were an item. I never saw it and the general sites that I used to visit NEVER mentioned it. 

I for one would stop watching the show. Full stop. I used to ship D*stiel. I thought it was cute. I used to follow M*sha on SM and even did his Hunt for a few years. Then, I started to really listen to what he said and how he acted. How his minions behaved toward those who weren’t so like minded.

FUCK THAT SHIT. Supernatural is a show about 2 brothers. Kripke himself called it the “Epic love story of Sam and Dean”
