crowley had sent his demons after them as soon as he heard about the winchesters getting their hands on the tablets. they were already ahead on the game, with sam already withstanding and completing the first trial — one of the three — to get the gates hell shut down forever. there were a lot of question marks around the implications, but not enough to repel the winchesters from moving forward with their ambitious endeavor. this could mark the end of most wars, bring balance to a universe that had suffered in the hands of demons and hell, and save the damned souls — as well as those destined for hell [ like william ].
the winchesters had made sure to hide themselves well — but different cases would send them to various detectable locations across the country, and with that came a risk of being found. when the demons approached the motel room, dean acted fast without thinking twice, pinning jo against the wall to keep her quiet. despite her compliance, she was resisting the plan of waiting until they were in the clear ; she was looking for a fight. dean shook his head, eyes widened disapprovingly as his brows furrowed. they couldn't risk being spotted ; exorcising them meant sending them right back to crowley, whilst killing them would alarm others. dean stayed still, whilst making sure jo did the same for a few more moments.
soon after, the demons were gone — the hex bags that dean kept with him helped conceal their presence. sighing heavily, he let go of her and stepped away from the wall, giving her the space to breathe, as well as the chance to bombard him with all kinds of questions ... @hervelle cont.
