Hi! I'm Annika, a simmer who loves to play the sims with a historical theme. Currently doing my own historical challenge that takes place in North America between 1770-1970

4T3 Conversion of HistoricalSimsLife's CC Catalogue

So… here we are, haha! This is the grand project I’ve been working on for about three months now! I made a promise to all of you, so I’m here not only to fulfill that promise and make a bit of a comeback but also to celebrate reaching the incredible milestone of 3,000 FOLLOWERS!!!

I’m so grateful to all of you for everything that has happened since I joined this community, it’s one of the little shining points of my life, lol. So, let me give back by bringing your sims MORE THAN 150 pieces of CC, including clothes, hairstyles, accessories, and buy mode objects!

You’ve probably already guessed that I have A LOT to say about this set, so please, follow me after the cut! 💖

Hope you like it, enjoy!

What a huge task this all must've been! Thank you so much for this!!

The moment i put it on Isabella Monty, i knew i needed this dress for all my sims 2 matrons (specially her), so here we're now. The dress comes in all the original 20 colours, a swatch is included with the download. The dress comes for Adults and is enabled for Elders and is categorised as Everyday, Formal and Maternity.

I also converted the Sims 4 Base Game EF 15 Fabric Flat using the textures by @dancemachinetrait from their Pemberly Collection, specifically the Jane version, i just adjusted the colours to match the dresses a bit better.

⚠️ This is my first 4t2 conversion, and even when i played around with the mesh in my game and didn't saw anything concerning, if you notice something, please let me know.

This is great! Thank you so much for the conversion 👏

i have a few questions so first of all, sorry :/

1. do you still play sims 2? if not do you ever think you’d go back?

2. what year(s) we’re the sherwood family set in

3. how do you keep track of the royals/lords/lady’s/dukes/duchesses and so on?

4. did you play by any rules or guidelines with the sherwood family?

Hi and sorry for the late reply! I'm so happy you're asking because they are my favorite family/game ever. I would love to play it again but the files got corrupted so I don't think I'm able to salvage it.

I'm actually currently playing the sims 2 but a modern game and without any cc whatsoever. I do really want to start a historical sims 2 game again because it's much more enjoyable for me to play than the sims 4 which is so heavy all the time because of the cc.

It's been over a decade since I started The Sherwood family save but if I remember right I began playing it from the 1910's but I wasn't really historically accurate with it so there might've been different fashion styles with different sims. I took inspiration for some of the characters from the miniseries The Forsyte Saga which I love.

I wasn't particularly accurate with the titles either, but before I began I did try to search on wikipedia how the different titles were inherited down the generations and which were higher than others. Here's one such page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peerage_of_England

And lastly I didn't play by any particular rules or challenge rules just took inspiration on what I had learned about the social etiquette etc. from different tv shows and movies and books that took place during the edwardian period. I played mostly for my own pleasure so I didn't want to be to restricted.

Absolutely in love with your sims 2 aristocratic mansions!! Will you consider sharing them for download? I play an Edwardian neighborhood as well, but my estates are nowhere near as beautiful as yours!

Thank you! I really loved playing them too until the files got corrupted so I can't access them anymore, I'm sorry 😥

SIMS 4: SKYRIM LEAN-TO

Update on 11/1/2024: This upload has been down on my blog some time now because I misplaced the download files and couldn't find them, but now I have so I re-uploaded the whole thing

I found this Skyrim conversion for Sims 2 by Sunni and although it was too late for me to use it in my history challenge’s prehistoric age I was sure I’d come up with other ways to use it and so I converted it to Sims 4. Credit goes to Sunni of course whom I can’t thank enough for their work for Sims 2.

The lean-to can be found under lawn ornaments.

DOWNLOAD (through my blog)

hi. I tried to download the skyrim tent but the link doesn't exist. can you help?

Avatar

Hi! Do you mean this one? I think I took the blog post/download link down some time ago because before that when I moved around some files on my simfileshare.net I accidentally deleted it and couldn't find it anymore. But today when I was looking for a different cc file I found this tent's files on my mediafire which I think was the same one (I've converted so many Skyrim tents and it's been so long I can't even remember anymore for sure.)

But if this is it I just re-uploaded it on my blog here: https://historicalsimslife.blogspot.com/2024/01/ts4-skyrim-lean-to.html

Hello. I'm interested in Skyrim Horn Lights, but can't download it from your page. Any other way to obtain it?

Hi! Unfortunately I had many people reporting problems with them that I couldn't seem to be able to fix so I had to make them offline. Hopefully I will have time to try it again as I've received similar questions/requests for them.

edit: Forgot to mention you can still find them on my mediafire account if you want to try them yourself: https://www.mediafire.com/file/nfcnbwz1pk5bnb5/Skyrim_Horn_Lights_HSL.zip/file

hello! I really enjoyed reading your historical challenge and found the sims so heartwarming. I hope you're well! stay safe friend 🤍

Thank you and sorry for the late reply! Yes I'm excited to get back to it so it will now be hopefully finished and I can share the rules with everyone else.

Anonymous asked:

Is your gallery ID still (HistoricalSimsL) or has it changed/ have you taken everything down, because i cant find it when i search it on the sims 4

Hi! Yes I did some "remodeling" there and changed the ID because I deleted my uploads as well cause I wasn't happy with them anymore 😅 so now I use only files to share my creations.

Hello, I was wondering if you have any cc or know of other ccs involving 18th century rococo dresses or rococo dresses in general and hair.

Its quite hard to find

Avatar

Hi! On top of my head I can't remember creators who make solely 18th century/rococo style cc, as in my experience there are several different simmers who have done at least some. So the way I go about searching them is simply googling what I want to find for example "sims 4 rococo hair".

Sorry I couldn't be of better help but if others seeing this post know good creators please link them in the comments!

are you going to make stuff for the Infants now that they are in the sims 4

Avatar

Hi! I'm not sure yet, (I actually had to take a long pause from the game again and haven't even played with infants yet) but probably in cases I can't find anything specific for my challenges etc. from other creators so I will make them myself

Anonymous asked:

Do you still have access to your castle by the sea lot for sims 2? I really love your work and unfortunately, I can't access the download link.

I had many people reporting to me that it was a really glitchy lot (lots of cc there) so I took it down but you can download it and try it on your own responsibility here : https://www.mediafire.com/file/tdbgy5g6nud3xu4/Castle_by_the_Sea.zip/file

Hi, are you going to make to medieval clothes for infants ?

Avatar

Hello and sorry for the late reply! I unfortunately have no current plans to do so but if you haven't checked out @simverses blog yet I recommend looking at the many beautiful things they've made for infants. You can find them here:

https://simverses.tumblr.com/downloads

hey, i just wanted to say thank you SO MUCH for all of your medieval cc! i'm writing a book set in medieval times (fantasy ofc) and part of my writing process is building some of the settings/making some of the characters in the sims, and your stuff is AMAZING! it's so helpful! i honestly can't believe it, you're srsly so talented. can't wait to get to one of my later books (set in a dif time period) so i can use some of the non-medieval stuff you have lol, it all looks so awesome. thanks again!

Thank you so much for the lovely message! Your projects sounds really interesting so I'm happy I was able to help. And what a creative way to enhance your writing process. I've never thought of that!

Hello and sorry I don't know if you'll see this as it has been a while but I was trying to download the Le Pouf Rococo Hair however the link no longer works. I was wondering if I may be able to get an alternate link?

Avatar

Hi and sorry for the late reply! The link should work now (at least it did for me)

Anonymous asked:

Hey! Simfileshare is down and has been for like almost a day in my time zone. I was wondering if you have already put your cc into something like MediaFire or Dropbox which is an alternative to Simfileshare.

Hello and sorry for the long wait for an answer! I didn't know simfileshare has been down but I think it is now running again (at least I was able to use it today without a hitch) If there are larger problems with it in the future I might consider creating an alternative place but because I have so much cc it would be a big task right now to upload them somewhere else and share the links to my blog.

Is there a way to download all your cc at once? Like do you have a zip folder available?

Avatar

Currently no but since there's so much of it it would probably be really useful, although I'm not sure if the size of it would be too large to upload 🤔
