I would be first in line for F*CK MAGES shirts lol.  And I gladly take the blame for any DA2 replays. This has made me wanna replay it too, but my PS3 is currently on the other side of the pond 😭.  Your art will have to sustain me for now.

That’s it, I’m sold on the idea. excuse me whilst i go and design lol. And oh no! Just put the sound track on an pretend. lets be real we probably know it backwards and forwards by now

@schemilix you do indeed spy sepia graphics. Though I have to get new ones now. That one is decidedly dead, along with it’s brethren.

Also I’m really sorry but I can’t see your replies on my dash and I am so confused? I havent tumblr’d in so long. too long. all the ages ago

Got these commissioned at York GeekFest from the lovely and ridiculously talented @jesstarts!!! Originally asked for the battle poses, but then couldn’t resist going back for a modern au (the F*CK MAGES shirt is utter perfection). So thrilled to finally have some gorgeous artwork of my fave DA boys 💕

oh my word (look, I remembered my tumblr log in, fancy that lol). It was fantastic to meet you. I loved talking with you, and seriously drawing your boys was the highlight of my days! I’m so glad you like them, it was a pleasure to work on them - I’m also totally turning that F*CK MAGES shirt into a real thing. The back will be ‘especially anders’ and then everything is perfect >:D

Also, if I may ask, what software do you use for your speed painting videos?

You can indeed ask. I have adobe CC, and I use After Effects to make my speedpaints, but there are a lot of other programs you can use, such as windows movie maker and wondershare - both speed up video footage!

Hi, what conventions will you be appearing at this year?

Hi there, I’m appearing at quite a few this year! I’ll be at manchester MCM next, in July, then at Nottingham Comic Con, I also have ICE in Birmingham in september. I’m also trying to do as many MCM shows as I can, and am in the process of booking tables for a couple of others dotted about the UK!

Yo! Went to comic con in London this year, saturday, and missed you at your stall. It was a shame because your art is quite literally awe-inspiring. Hope you had a lovely time! :D

Oh gosh, thank you! I’m so sorry you missed me - I was probably on a tea run, lol. I need caffeine to survive. I had a fantastic time, i hope you did too!

Hi! I read in your bio that you paid your way through university through commissions. I'm an animation/Games student, and I'm kind of in a similar predicament. I was wondering if you had any advice on how to go about things like commissions. Or how you found work? (or advice in general)

Hi there, yes I did - it was honestly a life saver at one point. Commissions are one of those things that are different for every one - there are a lot of factors as to whether you get them, from your art style to your follower count. But there are three things that I have generally found help?

1. cultivate an audience

Join a fandom, or a forum, or even a D+D game. If you can have the opportunity try to join an illustration agency, or even a site like people per hour - I really suggest joining twitter too, make your commission prices and availability your pinned post. In doing that you’ve made yourself an audience for your work, there are people actively watching you who are aware of your existence, so when you post for commissions you’re reaching a broad spectrum of people.

2. price correctly

This is the leading issue I find, is that so many artists underprice their commissions, get flooded with requests, and then end up working so much for pay that doesnt even meet minimum wage. The best thing to do is to do a couple of ‘test’ pieces (you can use these to advertise when you post as well) and time them. Never charge under the minimum wage, and I would personally suggest charging a couple pounds/dollars/euros above it, as a safety buffer. I personally charge £10 an hour for online commissions and £15-18 for my professional work.

3. Limit your customers choice.

Offer one type of drawing as a commission. A headshot. A fullbody. Open only as many slots as you can handle in a month or a week. Maybe test the waters with £10 headshot sketches, then move into fullbody colour for £50. Don’t overwhelm yourself.

I hope this helped somewhat? If you wanted to, off anon, I would be happy to go through thing in more detail with you, but these are really the main three to remember!

Hi! Just wanted to say it was so cool to meet you at London MCM on Saturday. I love your art style, and its definitely motivated me to go back to art. Absolutely can't wait for your comic to come out!

Oh my gosh, thank you. It was fantastic meeting every one over the weekend! Get back into art, do it. I'd love to see what you create! We can never have enough artists in the world. The comic is actually coming out in the next two weeks! It'll be posted on tapastic for free. So please stay tuned. I'm really excited to start posting. I'll also be selling the prologue at Leicester comic con this weekend.
