Can you make this anime face?

Well of course i can puff out my cheeks! not to such cartoony extremes, but i can! Now, I have a question for you-

what reason is there for you to ask me specifically to try and recreate that clearly impossible cartoon image? hm? were you hoping to see something in particular?

anyways, sorry for being offline for a while, just been distracted, and right now I'm just waiting for my hair appointment!

so, to answer this... I'm changing it up just a little. should still be same technique though, of just brushing it daily being enough to keep it looking fine. I'll definitely post an update once my hair is done!

WHAT is your quest??

I mean... long term? I think my big pipe dream if everything went my way would be a reform for journalism as a whole, or at least... to remove the drama from new reporting. I suppose magazines and such are designed for gossip. but there's a lot of issues with it all in general....

thus why... I've yet to be given a chance to be published because of said issues being something i won't personally utilize in anything i write. hoping my current projects help on that front!

As for you both... i wish i had a witty reply, but I've been sitting on these asks for a while and just drawing up blanks. i see the humor though! just... nothing to really say in response.

You look a lot like that cute bartender in prisma's club (the one called prisma in the city of prisma, its confusing i know)

Oop, you caught me! My career hasn't exactly picked up yet; publishing companies don't liek people who try and avoid dramatizing the truth, so it's been a bit of a struggle to get started. So... I've got to make ends meet! Indigo's a solid boss, even if he pretty casual? And i think that's about the extent i can legally say as of now. further details may be breach of contract.

And uh, maybe don't try and tell him what my dreams are? There'd be no just cause for being fired, but I do enjoy the pacing of the work there as of now, and wouldn't ant to be nitpicked into needing to look someplace else. Understandably he's pretty wary of journalists in general, even if in my case he's covered by the hiring contract I signed.

Haha, i really probably should just... never get around to actually doing it. plus, most of my note taking is on the fly, so just carrying them around with me would be troublesome... but i probably should really look into that, i know....

I think my parrots respect people more then these anons. And they're both little aholes.

I can believe you! people get so fixated on stuff that doesn't even affect them, it's honestly ridiculous. which may sound odd, coming from me, but like... there's business that just doesn't need pried into? and basic respect is so easy.

I know you're just trying to be silly, and i appreciate it, btu i've stared at this for a while and jsut have no idea how to respond so i figured i'd tack it on here.

Are you sure that they’re humans tho? I’ve heard they bleed blue. That’s not human.

I heard Ecoversians have plants for hair! that's not normal for humans either!

Look, can you just admit you're racist and move on? I'm not amused, and I'm not going to listen to mindless, factless drivel. I'll raise you something else, maybe , just maybe, IF they aren't human, what does it even matter? they're people?

I swear you people respect parrots more than someone who differs from you.

Why do you support inversians so much

You know, that's a really good question! let me think on that.

Why in the world do i support other human beings having their basic rights and want them to receive basic respect from other human beings? it really is quite the quandary, I'm not sure i have an answer for why i would want other human beings to have a decent life circumstance and be respected as the people they are, truly! what is it abotu this point of view that is based on basic decency and not jumping to conclusions from lack of information that's so strong and odd?

Is that Fionna from shrek? Did you do full body make up?

Avatar

You both caught me; i was Fiona in a highschool production of Shrek. The make-up was a little bit of a special trick, considering the quick changes would have been nightmares with actual full make up done, but... oh, i have a picture somewhere. here we go~

This was a minor collaboration with a couple of other grade groups, for the younger Fionas in the beginning segment, and pictured here, the entirety of "I know it's today". youngest Fiona had the simplest costume available to her, and teen Fiona had to two piece it. as established, i made my own, so it's something of a design evolution as Fiona grows up!

What's your shoe size? *Breathes heavily*

Avatar

Are you done?

Heaven forbid i wear no shoes in the comfort of my own home while showing off an old highschool project. This is just crass; do yourself and whatnot, but do you really think it ok to send harrassing asks like this? sure, the foot fetish thing is a bit niche but you know exactly your intent here, and it's rather transparent. get a hold of yourselves, have some decency.

What? you- Snrk-

You can't just pull up while I'm lecturing on don't catcall people with a silly joke! I- ok, you caught me off guard, and probably stopped me from getting on a high horse; at the very least, you diffused the tension. Bravo! haha

When did you get magic ? Also, your hat doesn’t look like it was in a hat store, did you make it ?

My senior year of Highschool, actually! i know that's a bit later than most, but it was like... the beginning of the year. and while i do tailor my hat on occasion, i got it fromt eh hat store just like most do! it's definitely not one of hte tophats in the windows or the front of the shelves, but still.

Funny you mention my hat, I've actually been thinking about remaking the very first costume i made with my magic; I know in part my magic is a key component in why i got the role i did for that show; it made quick changes a lot easier.

Blue - Who is someone you look up to?

Hmm... This one’s tricky since there’s a lot of different ways to look up to people, and certainly several people all of whom I look up to for different reasons.

Image

The first person off the top of my head, whose name I won’t be disclosing for privacy, would probably be a certain journalist who’s in the business to spread information rather than rumors and gossip which is impressive since the latter is certainly more lucrative.

what's your favorite style of music?

“i’m guess you mean genres, and i really like musical soundtracks! infact, i think it was my involvement with theatre and costume design that ultimately helped me find my hat, let me grab an old photo of a costume i’m really proud of still,”

“i was Jennyanydots, the Old Gumbie Cat! it was a fun role, that I think I partially got because I said I wasn’t going to wear a skintight costume. either way, being part of the choir is fun, especially in a show like Cats.”

“speaking of costumes, there’s one from my most recent performance, I’m part of a community theatre group, that I’ve actually adapted into my everyday wardrobe permanently. I decided to model it off for you-”

“it was my first time playing a lead character with this troupe! I was Violet in 9-5, single mom working her butt off with a terrible boss who she might of almost poisoned- whether she actually did or not is never completely clarified. the main thing I did was add some ruffles to the skirt, and as you can tell by lack of strap, these are not character heels. you’d never find me trying to dance in these things.”

“i...got off topic but I think you get it. I’m a theatre buff, so musical soundtracks are what I gravitate to- especially the ones where choir and characters are singing different things at the same time.”

Fantasy Wardrobe: Fabrics

We often call clothes silk when they are satin, velvet where they are velveteen or we have no clue what we’re on about. So today let’s look at fabrics.

Laying down the law

Many renaissance/mediaeval societies governed over who could wear what. By adding these laws you had a layer of depth to your world.

  • Women and men could only be dressed n clothes benefiting their position
  • Female servants or their daughters could not wear veils costing more than twelve pence
  • Knightly families could not wear cloth of gold or sable fur or velvets
  • The wife or daughter of a labourer were not to wear clothes beyond a certain price or a girdle garnished with silver
  • Cloth of gold and purple silk only worn by the royal family. This goes for ermine.
  • The importation of silk and lace foreigners was prohibited when the kingdom produced those textiles.

Peasant Clothing (Beggars to Merchant classes)

  • Wool: This was the staple of much of the clothes owned by peasants. It was in supply and it wasn’t as costly as most fabrics when undyed. It was also warm.
  • Linen: Forget about softness. Peasant linen was made of coarser weaves and flax. It was heavier than noble linen.
  • Cotton: A lightweight fabric used in hotter climates. It was softer than the linen and airier.
  • Fustian: heavy cloth woven from cotton, for menswear.
  • Leather: Leather was used for boots and shoes rather than killer jackets.

Nobility & Royalty

  • Cloth of Gold: Cloth made from woven threads of gold (very expensive)
  • Cloth of silver: cloth made from woven silver strands (very expensive)
  • Samite: a rich silk fabric woven with gold and silver threads
  • Tulle: A netting sort of material
  • Brocade: rich silk fabric with raised patterns sewn on it.
  • Cambresine: fine, lightweight linen
  • Cambric: thin white cotton or linen
  • Cypress: gauze made of cotton or silk
  • Damask: like brocade but the patterns are flat
  • Delaine : light wool/mixed wool and cotton
  • Lawn: sheer plain-woven cotton or linen
  • Sarsenet: fine and soft silk
  • Sateen: glossy cotton or wool
  • Satin: closely woven silk, shiny
  • Taffeta: Thickly woven silk
  • Velvet : piled fabric of silk, cotton or synthetic material
  • Velvetine: cotton with silk pile
  • Saxony: fine, delicate woollen fabric
  • Alençon Lace: intricate floral lace with three-dimensional corded detail sewn onto a fine tulle backing
  • Chantilly Lace: lightest of lace
  • Charmeuse: smooth, flowing, silk, cotton,
  • Chiffon: sheer and lightweight fabric
  • Crepe de Chine: thicker, lightly textured silk
  • Dupioni: crisp lusturous silk
  • Organza: sheer and lightweight fabric of very fine weave silk
  • Georgette: sheer fabric of silk
  • Guipure Lace: heavier lace

Designs

  • Embroidery: Patterns sewn on the fabric by thread
  • Appliqué: decorative fabric, often lace or floral motifs, sewn onto the main material
  • Embellishment: details such as beads, crystals, sequins, pearls
  • Trim: a line of material or fur that finishes off a hem or cuff.
  • Piping: a cord lining the fabric creating a ribbed look.

Colours

Here are the colours that you will catch your people wearing. Keep in mind that dyes had to be sourced and could be very expensive.

  • Peasant: brown, red or gray.
  • Nobility: Gold, silver, crimson or scarlet, deep indigo blue, violet colors and even deep black and pure white colors
  • Royalty: Purple

Furs

  • Mink: Soft and lightweight, silkly and glossy furs
  • Fox: Long, lustrous, colourful and easy to dye.
  • Ermine: White fur streaked with black (ONLY FOR ROYALTY)
  • Sable: long, luxurious, dense but light.
  • Wolf: thick, tough, warm but has a bad smell
  • Vair: fur from a red squirrel really only used for trimming.
