i so wish a show like the heartstopper adaptation had been around when i was 16, taking all the same “am i gay” quizzes as nick and unsure if i really was a lesbian at first like tara. to hear characters actually call themselves lesbians instead of it being left ambiguous for the viewers imagination as if there’s something inherently inappropriate or taboo about it. to see that there are so many people around you that are in the same boat without even knowing it. to know that it’s okay to take your time figuring it all out. my heart swells thinking about current and future generations of teenagers experiencing this piece of media with so much care put into it and feeling seen, maybe for the first time ever.

obsessed with the fact that when nick came out to his mom she just hugged him :) it was literally such a sweet moment and i really, really like the fact that most of the parents in heartstopper are very supportive and proud of their queer children
