We’re All Fired Up!!
The Guild Awards are back for the second term of 2022! We hope everyone has had a wonderful Spring! Thank you to everyone who participated last term to make it so successful! We look forward to all the new fanfiction and fanart to be nominated for this term.

Our roulette category for this term is as follows: Best Plot Twist. This is defined as: A sudden reveal in the storyline that was unexpected or clever in nature. Does not necessarily need to have a “shock” value.
Also! Our Discord has received a major facelift! We wanted to have a space for creators of all walks of life where they can continue finding inspiration for this wonderful fandom! The server will now includes:
- Links to every single term during The Guild Awards lifespan. That includes all the nominees and past winners listed in one area for easy finding. Looking for something new to read or inspiration for some art? Feel free to head over and peruse past nominees!
- Channels dedicated to every single event hosted by the fandom! Not sure which events are being held each year, or if an event from last year will be hosted this year? You can easily ask about it, look at posts about it, or talk about the event itself, perhaps gathering new inspiration for it. The mod-team will do our best to make sure these events are kept up-to-date with the most recent information!
- A place to simply be creative! There are several channels set up for artists and writers alike to share WIPs, references, ideas, head canons, and even search for a beta! Since The Guild Awards was created in order to show appreciation for all of our artists and writers, we wanted to give them a space to simply let loose and allow the creative juices to flow!
- There are also several channels in which you can recommend fanfictions or share some art for appreciation, talk about your favorite ships, promote your own work, and event vent about every day irritations.
This Discord will be open to everyone! The Fairy Tail fandom has always been a wonderful community, and we want to continue that fashion by bringing together all of our creative minds and those who appreciate them. So feel free to join at your leisure! The fandom will be happy to have you!

As a reminder, there is a Winner Ban in place. This means that once any piece of artwork or fanfiction has won an award for a category, it automatically becomes ineligible and cannot be nominated again for that category. However, it can be nominated for other categories after three consecutive terms have passed (ie: one year since that piece won) as long as it fits within that definition. We do not have a rule against nominating an author/artist back into the category they won for in the past, as long as its a different piece of work that is being nominated.
If it was not mentioned above, chances are it hasn’t changed. Please be aware that the moderators always take suggestions regarding how the awards are run and category changes into consideration. The Second Period 2022 Nomination Period will begin June 1st and end June 30th. Please send in your nominations through the submit button. If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to send in an ask or reach out to one of the mods!
