things are awful and will remain awful for a very long time so here is a picture of two chickens with little handmade knitted capes on. Someone must love these chickens a lot to make them little chicken capes. They look so warm and lovely in their little chicken capes.

Things that are okay: Being afraid of animals, not wanting to be around the animals you are afraid of, telling a person you’d rather not be around an animal you’re legitimately afraid of or are uncomfortable around

Things that are NOT okay: telling a person who loves an animal that it isn’t ok to love that animal based purely on personal prejudices, telling a person you’d kill an animal you’re afraid of, being in the mindset where someone brings up an animal and your first reaction is “good, let’s make it dead.”

I think one of the things I really like about chickens is how accessible they are.

Like, I was telling my cousin about how I had finally gotten a mille de fleur hen I’d been searching for for two years and she sort of gasped and asked how much I had to spend for it and I told her $5.

I just had to find one, not save up for it.

Some images I took on the farm yesterday. Here at Sepascot Home Farm, Chris and Eddy are making fresh maple syrup right from the maple trees on the land. It is by far the most delicious maple syrup I have ever eaten!! Also some beautiful images of some of their happy, healthy livestock. This farm is truly amazing. I look forward to sharing more pictures soon.
